Roe v. Wade - For Men

A lot of men are attempting that right now. You have stated that under current laws, that the man in the OP could get out of paying child support.

That is fallicious, since he is being forced to pay child support under current laws.

re-read her post -
You can opt out of paying child support if you take care of the child. :)

meaning... he can go ahead and get the full-custody of the child.

Women have the right to "opt out" by abortion. Currently, there are no "opt-out" options for men ..... period.
Men has the right to "opt-out" of sexual relationship with the women. Once he bangs her, he automatically accepts ALL risks. It's non-refundable policy. :)

I know what she was saying, and yes, a LOT of men are attempting to gain custody of their children.

Yes, but women have the option of getting a refund ;)

edit to add: In fact, I am helping a gentleman right now do just that (gain custody of his year and 7 month old son). The mother is unfit and has taken the baby away from him and his family (and even her own family).

as usual - that has nothing to do with this thread. This thread is about having the rights to DECLINE the fatherhood. Your friend is CLAIMING his fatherhood rights by getting a full custody of his son.

I've told you that I believe your solution isn't better than the current solution now. I agree with you that women do have an "opt" out while men do not. And yet.... There isn't a better way to deal with this, in my opinion.

This whole time, I've been assuming that "opting out" means free from responsibility to the child (financially or personally). Correct me if I'm wrong. But if that is the case, when women opt out (abortion), men are also free. But when men opt out, women are still stuck with the responsibility. Where is the fairness in this aspect?

opt out?? If you bring a child into the world you should not be able to opt out of the financial responsibility that goes with raising that child.

Yet mom's do it all the time..... *shrug*

please re-read the above coorespondence, I was responding to daredevel's post it was stated that men should have full custody if they can take care of the child.

My response was that there ARE men doing just that.

Except for my friend, whom happens to be deaf and "banged" as you would say, a hearing chick.

She told the court that he was deaf and mentally handicapped and could not care for a baby, then she disappeared.

He is perfectly capable and wants his son.

Point? There ARE nmen being declined their fatherhood rights who want to be dads, and then there are men who are being forced to accept fatherhood rights who do not want to be dads.

you can go ahead and make a new thread about it.

right. it's a non-refundable policy. To weasel out of child custody because she "lied".... this man is beneath the liar. MAN THE F UP AND ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY! You bang'em, You pay'em. :)

would you say the same thing to women who have abortions?

ha ha ... that is what this thread is ALL about dude.

would you say the same thing to women who have abortions?

It's within her legal rights to opt for abortion with or without your consent. Tough Luck.

Choose your mate wisely. Think with your head, not dick.

Norma Leah McCorvey stated she was wrong to have an abortion and that abortion is wrong .....

shouldn't women also choose their mates wisely as well? Would they be more careful if men had the right to opt out?

right.... this thread is about the dude who wants to opt out of fatherhood (aka child support). Not dude getting a custody of the child.

This is exactly the reason why one shouldn't be sleeping around with women whenever he feels like it.

You reap what you sow.

That doesn't sound like fathers are denied rights. Sounds more like taking advantage of discrimination to not allow your friend to have his son.

She used his disability to deny his fatherhood rights.

Happens ..... all the time.

whatever the best interest for the child... not the mother or the father.

I agree, but the best interest for the child is obviously for BOTH to take care of the child. But all this talk is about parents who DON'T want to.
