But that isn't an issue with fatherhood rights. That's a disabilities issue. Same thing can happen to a deaf mother.

My niece live with her father and guess what, my sister have to pay child support even though she have other kids at home to care for.

Exactly. These men are fully aware of laws like Roe v. Wade and child support. And they're fully aware of birth control methods like... condoms. It's been around for a few decades.

This man in OP article - We both share a similarity - a computer programmer. our ages are just a few years apart. we have slept around here and there. and the only difference?

Except pregnancy doesn't endangers the father's physical health. So where the equality?I am sorry, but biology at this stage doesn't grant for full social equality yet.

You might want to call up Arnie and Danny first.

so how is it equal if she is the one who has to carry the baby for 9 months?

I mean... it could be a true equality if man and woman can simply take turn to warm the egg like a penguin but....

How do you propose we do that? Simply let the men free from child support when they want to? Is that your solution?

:dunno: Maybe the guy could give up a toe or something... :lol: Or make him eat 6 big macs a day for nine months then call it even. :)

Like I said - there are laws like Roe v. Wade and Child Support that favor women. Men's had their turn for centuries before that law.

Yet women have an opt out for their responsiblity. :) Perhaps they should be more responsible and finish what they start
 
A question to ponder, is it possible for the father to get custody of the baby because the mom doesn't want it and has to give child support to him?

It happens already......which is good. But the father has no rights if the woman doesn't want to give birth. Here the woman has another opt out as well (although seedy) If she wants to give birth but avoid child support she can just not notify the father and give the baby up for adoption.

I even know of a family where the fathers parents are raising a baby the mother didn't want and they receive child support.

child support in my opinion should be a two way street. No matter who has the child it needs to be supported. The financial responsibility doesn't go away.

This I agree with. People keep touting that a woman getting pregnant is harmful to their health. Well then If they are in soo much fear for their health then they should take the necessary precautions to prevent danger to their health by not getting pregnant in the first place. I have been in a situation like this myself. I got the woman I was in love with pregnant she didnt want to keep the baby I had no choice in the matter even tho I wanted the child and made it perfectly clear to her that I did. When 2 people lay together they both need to be responsible and see it to term It is a human being for crying out loud that is being killed due to abortion. Thats my .02

That's why I wrote you can NOT trust a woman to prevent pregnancy.you have control for yourself and what you do to your own body. you can't have control of the other person and what she does with her body.

In fact, she can't even force you to wear a spermicide condom. All she can do is tell you "No, we can't have sex if you won't wear a condom" and walk away.
