Roe v. Wade - For Men

Steinhauer, I've had a long deep discussion with a guy. And it's true. It's not fair at all. HOWEVER, I've tried to come up with solutions and it always screws over the women in a more severe way than making men pay. I've realized that this way is the best way to have the least amount of damage.

Seriously, Steinhauer, you talk a lot about equality but try to come up with a SOLUTION that is better than men paying for child support.

I did not say anything about men not paying child support. I did, however, say that there should be an opt out if a man never wanted to be a father in the first place.

The case presented by the lawsuit in the OP is when a woman deceived a man into a relationship he never wanted.

Guy not wearing a condom for one woman after another (knowing they can get away with it) produce too many kids who become fatherless , sometimes motherless because they spreading diseases this way. They need to take responsibilities. They need to wear a condom and if they REALLY don't want children, then get a vasectomy.

Most guys CAN'T get a vasectomy until they're age 30! Doctors will turn you down unless there is a compelling medical reason for getting one at a young age.

Why everyone always overlook that?

Yeah, Souggy is right. If you're a man, you have to be least 30 for some reason.

And there are more options for BCs. But they're not 100% prevention, unfortunately. It is better to pick a few more options to increase precents.

I'm seeing 25 but they don't absolutely forbid anyone under 25 to get one (but they do have to be an adult). They just want to caution people that they could regret getting one. But if they do get one, I think they can go IVF or tubal reversal if they plan having a child.

Yeah, Souggy is right. If you're a man, you have to be least 30 for some reason.

When I applied, they explained that most people under 25 don't understand the long-term consequences and many don't have long-term plans beyond the age of 30 or 40. Also, they explained it's difficult to disgunish immature decision, a decision made out of an unsound mind and an informed decision at a young age.

*nods* Yes, I'm well aware about that.

They don't really forbid you, but they do have the right to turn you away as a client.

There is a way, but it requires a year or two of counseling to make sure the client is aware of what they're getting into and isn't mentally ill or depressed.

I could care less at the moment. My sex life? What sex life?

Can't women also get their tubes tied if they don't want to have a baby (you know ... instead of an abortion)?

yes they should... and I wish some of them would because they get abortion one after another. It is obvious they don't want children.

actually, they can get a IUD for long term prevention. but there little a guy can do unless he wear a condom or vasecomy

BUT you can't just expect a girl to prevent pregnancy, it is your job too. And if she does have a child, that child need a father support so he can grow up well adjusted and healthy, you just can't walk away from that after the child is born.

I am not talking about the men who go into a relationship willingly and want to be dads, only to later cheat and decide they no longer want to be "responsible".

I am talking about the man in the OP - who clearly stated to his gf, he did not want any kids period. His gf assured him that she could not get pregnant. Then she got pregnant and sued him for child support.

He was lied to and deceived and now his life is ruined over it. When she got pregnant (she willingly lied to him about a non existent medical condition), he *should* have been given the right to opt out.

There are A LOT of men who do not want to be dads. It does not make them bad people. There are also a lot of men who were lied to and deceived into relationships (and I know its also true for women).

Well don't punish the child for her lying. This is for the child's best interest since he is already in the world. Not the mother's or the father's

There are men who decieved a woman that he is wearing a condom when he is not.

yes, and he has to pay for child support anyways. A woman can abort, a man cannot.

This thread is about equality.

Where is the equality? there isn't any.

please explain to me why anyone must pay to support Nadya Suleman's children?

I have a better idea. Since men don't want to take responsibility of their own child.. and the child need support... Lets start a universal child support for the fatherless and motherless.. and tax everyone like crazy over it.
