Sick again

Yet another update

I have another update.

We got hold of my Dr today, and he's faxing an order to have an MRI done. Will then call and schedule that appt. I'll keep everyone updated as I can.

It would be so nice if a true fairy shows up so that she would make you feel all better completely.

I sorry about that. My thoughts and prayers.
I hope you will get well soon. :fingersx:

OB, I am so sorry about what you are going through. I will definitely say a prayer for you! Hope everything will go well with you and do keep us updated. Hang in there.

Thank you and I will! If I can't, someone else will. :)

I am wondering if a doctor could inject a liquid plastic in the bone in order to be more stable and last a long time. I am not sure if I read about it on the internet. Something has to do with plastic itself to expanse tiny holes for the oxygen. Can you ask your doctor about it? Also ask your doctor what he/she thinks about the stimulator and the broccoli.

I think that it is a good idea to eat broccoli everyday after your surgery.

I don't like broccoli that much!

I know I seem to shoot down everything you suggest, but you're actually giving me good ideas. As for the stimulator, I did look into it. It's not indicated for me, because I have an open sore.

And, the plastic? That IS a thought. But, I need to be diagnosed first. That's the reason for the MRI. We need to first find out what we're dealing with. We really don't know yet. Dr THINKS it's necrosis, but he's not sure. If it is, I'll see what can be done about it. If it's not, then, we REALLY don't know!

Time will tell. I'll probably have the MRI some time next week.

You need to change your habit. I understand that you don't like it, but it is really time for you to do it. Your body will appreciate it. There are many list on google that show you a proof about how good broccoli is, and which is really good for your bone. It never too late...

Broccoli is a nutritious food, and I love to eat it, raw or cooked. But it doesn't cure everyone's medical or health problems. If fact, some people can't easily digest it, and have "gas" problems from it. If someone is having a specific medical problem (such as Oceanbreeze has) then that person needs to check with his/her physician or dietician before making any drastic changes. Some foods and vitamins "clash" with particular medications and metabolisms.

Web,

I know you're trying to help me, but please give it a rest. If the issue was calcium absorbsion, that would be an easy fix. However, it's not ... Please just accept this... My medical problem is complicated. Eating broccoli won't solve it. I wish it could. :(

Thank you, Reba! I'm glad you understand! :) I wasn't and am not trying to be nasty. My problem is just really complicated. It's so complicated that the Dr's don't even know what's going on with me.

My bone may be dying. That's the issue. We don't really know if THAT's the actual problem yet. That's the issue, too. We don't know yet.

The MRI will tell us alot. Meanwhile, I am taking vitamins/minerals and such. I am drinking milk, which I like better than broccoli. So, I'm doing what I can....

I was told that Milk can disintegrate your bones because of the acids. I thought that organic milk do not, but I assume that I am wrong. This got me attention. I will have to look it up later. I have too many thing to do in my mind for my work.

By the way for a gas situation, if you eat a cucumber, this will balance the alkaline which "controls" the gas. Maybe, I am referring to a gas for my car. Just kidding...

Pasteurization destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamin content, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys vitamins C, B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria, promotes pathogens and is associated with allergies, increased tooth decay, colic in infants, growth problems in children, osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer. Calves fed pasteurized milk do poorly and many die before maturity. Raw milk sours naturally but pasteurized milk turns putrid; processors must remove slime and pus from pasteurized milk by a process of centrifugal clarification. Inspection of dairy herds for disease is not required for pasteurized milk. Pasteurization was instituted in the 1920s to combat TB, infant diarrhea, undulant fever and other diseases caused by poor animal nutrition and dirty production methods. But times have changed and modern stainless steel tanks, milking machines, refrigerated trucks and inspection methods make pasteurization absolutely unnecessary for public protection. And pasteurization does not always kill the bacteria for Johne’s disease suspected of causing Crohn's disease in humans with which most confinement cows are infected. Much commercial milk is now ultra-pasteurized to get rid of heat-resistant bacteria and give it a longer shelf life. Ultra-pasteurization is a violent process that takes milk from a chilled temperature to above the boiling point in less than two seconds. Clean raw milk from certified healthy cows is available commercially in several states and may be bought directly from the farm in many more. (Sources are listed on www.realmilk.com.)

*sigh*

Understand this, WebExplorer, PLEASE...

My problem HAS NOTHING to do with calcium or it's (mal) absorbsion. I'm getting enough calcium. We're not talking weak bone mass here, but lack of blood supply, cause unknown.

Because, the bone appears to be dying, its also migrating inside my leg. That is, my hip joint is out of socket and it's moving around in there. This caused an absess to form from the inside OUT. Meaning, from the bone UP. I literally have a HOLE in my leg. Calcium supplements WON'T take care of that. Nerve/muscle stimulators (also called TENS units), are contraindicated in people with OPEN WOUNDS.

I'm sorry to be blunt. You mean well, but your advice just isn't useful to me. I am taking calcium supplements, and zinc, selenium, and Vit C. ALL good vitamins/minerals for wound healing, but that's all I can do. I've increased my protein as much as I can, too.

But, as I said...Eating broccoli isn't goinig to cure this. Neither is a TENS unit. If it would, I would try it.

I understand it now. Sorry, I am embarrassed, and I just learned from you. I hope that your doctor will find a way to fix the problem. It is a good idea to find out from your MRI result.

Its alright, Webexplorer. I know you mean well, and I do appreciate your concern. It's just my problem ISN'T osteoporosis. It's osteo-NECROSIS (or that's what we think?).

In other words, my hip bone has lost or is losing it's blood supply. We don't know why. We also don't know if this is really what's going on. Dr's THINKS this is what's happening. The MRI will tell us if I'm experiencing bone death or not. If I am, hopefully we can fix it. If I'm not, then...... I don't know.

But, I do take calcium to prevent bone loss, because I am suspceptible to that. Thankfully, all my bone density tests have come out normal. I've had just one, two years ago, but it was it within normal limits. Therefore, doctor doesn't think I'm losing calcium.

Updating again

My MRI is scheduled for tomorrow morning, 10am. I'm nervous as hell.

:Ohno: :hyper: :run:

After it's done, I guess...I wait.....

More waiting... *sigh*

I will think of you and hope the dr can find something and figure out to get ya well soon! :)
