I had been visited hospitals and nursing homes. Many of them that I know had morphine, and they passed away. Actually, it is uncomfortable for me to talk about it because some people don't believe it. Many doctors know, and they won't tell until their decision is made at the last minute. Your quote statement about the morphine under your avatar got me attention.

I think that you might have a kidney problem because of your picture. You gotta check with your different doctor for a blood test. It could be involved with your pain situation. I don't tell you what to do, but to give you the advise. That's all.

Incidently, that quote you see in my sig is supposed to be funny and sarcastic! A friend was given morphine after her surgery recently, and she had no problems with it.

I actually have had morphine myself after my last surgery, and it didn't agree with me. Therefore, I won't be taking it this time around. I plan to ask for another med that can be given through the IV upon waking from the anesthesia.

I'm very aware of the meds that are available and I plan to use those.

HUgz, Great to hear that your 2nd would is healing. and you will be able to have some skin flap surgery. Im so glad there's nothing else seriously in your system.
sorry, i havent been around again, i did lurk some of post in past, but then again, as Im always a busybee momma, and busy with kids etc.. and We just purchase our 2nd vehicle that works woohoo, It felts great to have 2nd vehicle around here, now I am able to go to Bangor Maine myself on Monday for my CI Mapping at the new place (perhaps a better mapping this time I hope )
then on the 31st, to my first visit with a specialist for the injections My mom is coming with me, I dont wanna drive home panic if im in pain, I recall my foot being in pain from the injections, so I know the foot and neck is bit different but you never know

So for you! please do Take care, take it easy, heal nicely! GET well, Come back as much as you can, but Rest as much as you can too

I understand and I dont blame you due to yours being so serious. mine is not bad but still I am not looking forward to surgery cuz of pains but then I am looking forward to get OVER with and get better then I can start excerise and lose more weights to better myself for my health.

You need to be aware of cause and effect.

Did the administration of morphine cause the patients to die?

Were the patients in a terminal condition, and the morphine was administered to ease their pain during their last days?

Morphine is given for alot of reasons, also. It's given mostly to relieve pain after surgery. It's also given to heart attack victims as it helps to dilate blood vessels and brings more oxygen to the body. In addiition to that, it is used to ease the suffering of terminal patients.

It's uses notwithstanding, I cannot take morphine for pain relief. It does absolutely nothing for me, except make me lightheaded. I ended up coming off the morphine within 12 hrs of surgery, and just asked for percocet for pain relief. It worked better.

As I stated before, this time around, I plan to ask for another pain med. Problem solved.

As for Medical Marjiuana, I want to add something...

I am NOT opposed to it's use . I've heard that it does wonders for people who weren't helped by other meds. However *I* prefer not to use it. The legal issues notwithstanding, weed sickens me. I don't like the smell. In general, I don't smoke, so smoking weed just isn't for me.

I also can't fathom ingesting it. The legality issues alone scare me senseless.

She is fine now with no cancer. That was a long time ago. That's all I know of. How about if I make a pot cake with vanilla or chocolate for you? If certain people have terminal illness more likely they will be given morphine to help ease the pains. Why let them suffer? I dont like that. I like knowing that the medicine are helping them ?

yeah i undy.. i dont know if i ever use morphine? they never told me? lol.. but i knwo i have tried like demerol, stadol, epidural for when i was preggy with my twin sons, TJ and my daughter. they didnt bother me but groggy.. ugh!

as for marjuana for medical purposes..i am not certain.. i used to smoke that in the past ....i can remmy when i was using it.. i had vorcaious appetite, sleep alots.. feeling high.. but the side effects are heart beating .. paranoids, feeling lousy the next day.. ugh! so dunno...
