Great news to hear. :)

I have been told rose hip tea is good for u esp it has high vit C and help fight against infections.

I have another update:

My Dr wants to see me TOMORROW, so we're heading to the hospital and meeting him in the ER. I'll let you all what happens after I see him.

Thank you! I have another update for you and everybody.

I saw the doctor.

First, I do, in fact, have just ONE WOUND still. The "second one" that I thought I saw was the original wound at a different angle.

Second, the MRI results were officially given to me today. The bone is not involved. There's no infection or necrosis. This means I can have surgery for sure. I am going to have surgery. The date hasn't been set yet and I found out why. Dr wants to see if the wound closes on it's own. He said it could. We seriously doubt that will happen, but he wants to give it a chance to. He told us to call him in 2-3 wks for an appt.

Third, the surgery itself is going to be a muscle flap revision. He's going to take the flap and advance it to cover the wound. I don't know how long I'll be in the hospital, but just a few days. Recovery time is going to be a month.

So, Thanksgiving and Christmas isn't going to be fun this year, but I should have this over by New Years!

I do not understand why your doctor tells you to wait for a very long time. You really need a surgery now. I think that there is something wrong with your doctor. I bet that he is jerk because you have a hard time to deal with the pain. Right?

Wouldn't it be nice for you to stay home and enjoy your Thanksgiving or Christmas Day after your surgery?

I tend to agree with you, but I also can see where he is coming from. Sometimes, these wounds DO heal on their own. This wound is also small (in comparison to the one I had last year), so I guess he wants to see if it will heal. But, you're right. I WISH he'd cut to the chase and just schedule the surgery, because it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that I'll end up in surgery, anyway. He pretty much said that today.

As for the pain, I wasn't in that much pain a week ago, but now, the pain IS increasing. I need a narcotic now to ease the pain, and I'm also spending more time in bed, because it hurts to sit. Also the longer we wait, the more chance I have of getting a staph infection or worse, a resistant staph infection.

I want this over with.

Do pray that I don't get infection before surgery, and that the surgery goes well and I'll heal (and stay healed this time).

Perhaps, smoking a pot that alleviate the pain. I know it won't help, but you wouldn't stand that long.

Hey! When this crap is over for us, lets you and me compare notes. We can whine and cry about how much pain we were in and such! :lol:
