I feel very sad for the soliders and their families... Why they have to die for nothing... :(

Small world, my neice is also former Russian Interpter for AFB for 8 years and now she works at homeland security. She makes damn good money there. Thank God she left AFB right before USA invaded Iraq.

My husband regrets getting out now. He was very good at it.

I say the same thing "Thank God for being HOH, or I would be in Iraq right now". I failed my physical due to my loss when I was 17. I know I would be a blind flag waving war monger if I had been able to join. Instead I was left alone, able to think for myself more easily.

And, you call Reba an ignorant ? :eek3:

You forgot that she was involved in a military herself. She was an army. She knows ALOT of things. I don't think she is an ignorant. I really enjoy readin' her experiences and what she knows about soldiers and stuff.
Thank you, but it was the Navy. :)

I did attend my joint-service "A" school and advanced courses at an Army post. But I was one of the few sailors there. :)

Wow ! That's really nice. I am glad to have someone who was the Navy aaand sailor to be here in this AD. My uncle was the Navy, too but he died at the age of 45 due to illness in 2 years ago. :)

Reply from a Sailor

Listen here people....I am currently in the U.S. Navy, yes we are involved with the war too, not just the army and marines. More than you probably know. We also have people on the ground in iraq. I am very good friends with felixkat930, and she let me know what kind of things people are saying on here, which made me incredibly angry. I can't believe the disrespect you people are giving to the people who VOLUNTEERED to serve their country. You all blame the soldiers for so many things, but you have to remember that its not exactly their choice. They are all doing what they are told, not because they want to do it. Do you really think that they would be in Iraq if they had the choice? NO! If your gonna blame anybody, blame the president! And if you have anything else to say, then come and talk to me, I'm sure I will have a great answer for you..

I don't support war, but I support the troops that need to be home safe from the war and have fair treatment for their lives.

I met a guy that has a home but he's a war veteran and he knows some sign language. He cannot afford food so we gave him some food we don't need, so he won't be hungry. That's one example that veterans don't get much money to keep up with the cost of living.

Ah, I recalled a movie called "A Few Men." The movie was good. I bet that you are the honest sailor as the best service in the world. By the way, it makes me sick that some male soldiers who harass female soldiers at the training. You know the rest of the story.

Many Republicans are the ones who cannot change it. Some of them really love George Bush. He has no feelings for them. All he was to grin at the people. (We have seen him like that on the television.)

It's true abt male soldiers harrassed female soldiers. One of my ex girlfriends were raped by few male soldiers. She reported it but no one listened. One day she had fed up and drove over few soldiers (who raped her) with military truck. It happened at Gulf war. She was dismissed from military. She went thru so much emotionally and fell into drugs and drinking for a while. She decided to get help with her drugs and drinking abuse. Now she's recovery for almost 5 yrs.

Have you even read through this thread? Or did Felixkat930 come to you saying " GASP! They are against the war and the killing of our soldiers and Iraqis!!! Why do they hate our soldiers? Why do they hate America?" Read through the thread yourself and then get back to me and I will be more than happy to discuss my feelings and concerns on our occupation in Iraq.

I met my first homeless Iraqi vet about a year ago. Not even 30. He just sat there, yes and no answers to questions. His eyes just absent of anything.

Did you read those posts carefully?

"In 1973, the draft ended and the U.S. converted to an All-Volunteer military."

But the rumors here that the government want to have draft return... Many Americans are against it.

As I was told that that they sign the contract voluntarily because they thought they only doing to defend our countries, training, etc. that's not what they thought is sent them to Iraq... They feel being betray by government's lie. Many US soliders want to get out of Iraq war but they have to stick until their contract is end... Some of US soliders went to court against contract but they lost their rights.

Yeah but all males who turn 18 have to sign the card and send it to center place which it is waiting to be draft that is if congress decided to bring draft back. We have recuriters who go to high school and tried to recurit them with their lies. U get education and training but they never tell them u go to war and get be killed. I know of cuz they kept calling my house everyday trying to recurit my sons to join.

That's what you mean?

Yes, that's what I thought so. I was like  after read his post here. All what we stated is support soliders and against war, that's all.

All what we talk about our feeling and concern about soliders who don't want to go Iraq war and hope their return and safety.
