As a paid member, I am entitled to read and reply where I wish. Thanks for the nudge towards the door though.

You seem to want to correct me when I mention anything other than Axelrod does not condemn Obama for golfing, but you are free to discuss the body counts in Afghanistan, mortgage crisis, Obamacare. When did you get the Golden Key to the political forum?

When Naisho posted every golf round, there was a whole lot of silence, folllowed by you reminding us that we should still criticize Axelrod. What's the matter, all those weekend golf dates he had make it more difficult to paint him a deadbeat for not showing up for work?

OK, next thread.

Of course you are entitled to read what you want. That's why I said no one is forcing you to read any particular threads. Meaning you have a choice. If you don't like it, well, then don't read it and complain incessantly about it. There are a lot of threads or posts I don't like but I don't go around mewling about some posters.

I already made clear about Axelrod and I agree with him that golfing during times when economy is bad presents a bad image problem for the President for the public to see. I mused and wondered what about Obama's golfing image? It'd be even worse because the economy is even worse. Doesn't matter if he golfs mostly on weekends.

Well, what about the dates he golfed? Is there an issue with golfing 96% of the time on his weekend/vacation? What about the 4 rounds during the week? Should we chastize anyone that golfs more than once a week as rubbing our nose in their wealth?

The bottom line: I do not care how much golf Obama or Bush play(ed) during the economic difficulties. You only care that Obama keeps golfing, but based on your repeated threads that are derogatory regarding Obama, does it matter what he does? You were attacking him before he climbed down the Capitol steps, and it has never stopped. I don't even like the guy, yet I find myself refuting all the negative crap you constantly post here. When the election is over, are you willing to accept the outcome, no matter who stands on the victory podium? I am.

Keep researching. There are plenty of anti-Obama blogs being created as I type. Pick one, or several. Keep us entertained.

As I said again, this thread was about the hypocrisy. And I agree with Axelrod about Bush on golfing. It presents an image problem. What more is there to say?

Kind of funny if not serious on making a point although the photos are rather dated. Like I said, golfing during bad economic times can present an image problem for any president whether it was Taft, Kennedy, Bush 1, Bush 2 or Obama.

I think his golfing dates were well within reason. That 90%+ of all golfing on weekends pretty much meant he used the sessions with better judgement for the dates chosen. A president should be working 'decent' hours like any man, not slaving laboring at his office 24/7 a week trying to fix problems. If he was playing in the middle of a business week, that's pretty much poor taste. But fortunately he never did anything like that except on vacations, which accounted for 1/4th of all his golf count.

If we had a prez who liked to have a big family event/BBQ/party/gathering on sundays after the church, what's that any different from Obama using several hours for golf on his Saturday/Sunday?

Which scenario would be more of an image problem? Him golfing every other weekend (Sat and Sun) and not be with his own family, or be with his family every Sunday after church and enjoying the company of other church members with brunch or BBQ? Just like the B/W photos above, I can tell you which would present an image problem. He desire more on golfing than be with his own family and wife over the weekends.

Not all people go to church every Sunday.

Obama always with family after golfing is over.

The golfing is part of hobby.

Problem is,, I am not part of the "blame Bush" crowd. I gave him a chance. He had nearly a full term under his belt before I began to distrust his leadership direction. (Shock and Awe ring a bell?)

In comparison to some of you Righties, I look like Abby Hoffman. Sorry I don't have a shrine to Reagan in my basement. BTW, I expect you to get the "Please stay on the topic of Alexrod does not criticize Obama for his golfing" from our thread leader. Oh wait, you are allowed to toss more sidetracking materials, because they are pro-GOP.

Carry on.

That is kind of coy how you toss in OT remarks then lambast others for doing the same.

In fact, the OT remarks from others are in response to your OT remarks.

Nice trolling mechanism you got there.

Not all people go to church every Sunday.
Not all people play golf every Sunday either.

Since he claims to be a Christian, I'm surprised that he has the time and logistics to play golf but he doesn't go to church with his family.

so.... if I lost my job... blame Obama?

Exactly. And it all goes to the heart that playing golf can present a negative image depending on the circumstances.

This thread is too funny.
If you're wondering what my political stance is.. I don't like any of them right now and so far I'm not feeling any of the potential candidates for office that much either, but I need to do more research before I decide who will do the least damage.

Huh? Every Sunday? Is it not possible that he attends service on a time when it allows him to still golf? I have gone to Saturday evening services many times. In one church, that was the only one with an interpreter. I find your assumptions and judgmental attitude to be wrong. It must come from a section of the Bible I have not read.

He does have a private life. He does have the right to worship privately. In his position, he can have the church come to his house. How do you know he skips church because he has a 10:00 tee time? I would guess he can choose his tee time, regardless of how busy the golf course is. Executive privilege, you know?

And we can count on you and your ilk to keep throwing gasoline on that image, yes?

The Conservatives want hm to slave 24/7, so they have more to complain about. He does a terrible job, and we want him doing it more often? I find the entire thing quite laughable. Bush hid out on his ranch, where he could be shooting gophers, watching TV, 4-wheeling, etc. Who cares?
