You forgot "choking on doritos"
Who cares? It is their leisure time. He eats Doritos? Which flavor?

Kind of funny if not serious on making a point although the photos are rather dated. Like I said, golfing during bad economic times can present an image problem for any president whether it was Taft, Kennedy, Bush 1, Bush 2 or Obama.

Has he? When and where? If his almost weekly golf games are publicized and even tabulated, how come his church attendance hasn't been? I did an internet search and couldn't find but a handful of times that Obama attended church services since becoming President.Huh? Every Sunday? Is it not possible that he attends service on a time when it allows him to still golf?
In the Bible, the Lord does say that Christians should meet together for worship as often as possible, on the first day of the week (Sunday).I have gone to Saturday evening services many times. In one church, that was the only one with an interpreter. I find your assumptions and judgmental attitude to be wrong. It must come from a section of the Bible I have not read.
No, I don't know. Is a church meeting in the White House? Does he pick later tee times? If he does, please share that information. He does have a private life. He does have the right to worship privately. In his position, he can have the church come to his house. How do you know he skips church because he has a 10:00 tee time? I would guess he can choose his tee time, regardless of how busy the golf course is. Executive privilege, you know?
This is the most ridiculous thread and I am appalled at their conservative attitudes. That is trolling for no apparent reasons whatsoever. Stop bashing our President just because he wanted to golf no matter what. This might be the only sport he can enjoy doing this. So quite whining. Let him be. Gawd.

It's not a "rule" that Christians can't play golf after Sunday morning church service. We have several golfers in our church. None of them plays golf on Sunday, even after church, as a matter of personal conviction.
I certainly understand when the President's duties are pressing or he is traveling so he can't attend church. However, I don't put rounds of golf in that category.

I'm not saying that any President has to attend church or even be a Christian. It's just interesting that the President we have who has had his religion questioned doesn't do anything to bolster his assertion that he's a Christian.
Personally, the less time he spends in DC interfering and exercising his executive privileges, the better. He can't get us into as much trouble on the golf course.
oh dear oh dear.... poor Obama.... first he had to prove his birthplace... and now his religion....
Maybe it was popcorn thought you might know.
The last part actually makes sense. I mentioned it in a post or two before, but the negative tribe wants to judge his golfing as a separate issue from the job he has done; a double negative, if you will.Has he? When and where? I still don't see why he needs to keep Americans abreast of his worship. Seeing him wave as he goes into his church does not tell me he is following the Word.

Personal conviction. Good choice of words.

Well, considering he has been in office for approximately 180 Sundays now, I don't see it as problematic. As I said, poeople worship in their own fashion, and I am not going to judge his faith. There is someone ready for that day.

It could be a matter of security. Dunno. I don't recall detailed daily planners from any President, except when they came to my town.

We pay him alot of money to do a job for which he has been a miserable failure. People across the country are hurting badly.....do you want them to stop whining too? He is a public servant, we are his boss. We have a right to complain when he isn't getting his work done.
You wouldn't work for his salary. Life has been tough for you, no? Jetting around, golfing at the finest resorts. Boy, I pity your tax burden.
How about good workers? You see, some chose to work for the other guy. They put in their hours and take their vacations and blah blah blah. And that is fine. Good leaders know that there is really no such thing as a clock, or business hours. Good leaders know when there is work to be done, you do the work.
BTW I usually drive....I like stopping at quirky places
Agreed. I don't like flying, and I like the pace of driving long distances.Well, life was pretty crappy in the beginning. But that is irrelevant. If I chose to take a job, I would do the job. And, if I found I was unable to do the job, I would let someone else do the job.

I think most of us fall into the "work for others" category. People with large egos (Presidents, other elected officials) rarely think they are doing poorly. He could easily be working 80+ hours a week. Who knows for sure?
As for his salary, I will gladly do the job for free should he decide to resign.
So would countless others.

Is there such a thing? nah there are a few out there but seems most are happy to put in their 40 and get the heck out. I do however have great respect for those willing to put in the extra effort rather than being clock watchers
yes there is such a thing as good worker. they're keeping our nation safe... because they follow orders.
