"President out of touch....plays golf during bad economy..."

NOW you are getting off track and whacking around the bush and avoiding the heat. Can you honestly expect a president to just pick up the pieces and fix everything in four years? No citation needed there...

Obama was expecting it. Hence his fateful words.

Obama in 2009 with Matt Lauer:
“A year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress,” said Obama. ”But there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States: Barack Obama, 2009 - National Archives and Records Administration - Google Books

Exactly! But numbers don't lie....all that money spent and we are in dreadful shape. All those broken promises are still out there.... no denying those. If you still want to vote for the guy that is your choice....

Broken promises and failures according to your beliefs.

Not HW Bush but GW Bush.

Video from 1994 has surfaced of David Axelrod, President Obama’s chief campaign strategist, calling former President George H.W. Bush “out of touch” for “tastelessly” playing golf while trying to convince voters that the economy is improving.

“Bush tastelessly did it, often from the ninth hole, and from the cigar boat and other places,” Axelrod said.

Added the adviser: “The impression you got was that he was out of touch.”
Not GW Bush, but HW Bush. That's direct from the sources.

The mortgage crisis? That started with Jimmy Carter and then it was Bill Clinton who opened the floodgates by expanding Carter's passed Community Re-investment Act by forcing banks to accept applications from those who really could not afford a house (i.e. unqualified borrowers) allowing them to buy bigger and more expensive houses. It was this whole Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mess with thanks to Carter and Clinton. It had helped create this housing bubble.

Obama choose not to get out of the Afghanistan war. Nearly 5 times as many deaths under Obama than Bush.

The Iraq war was approved by the United Nation as a way for a coalition of forces to force Hussein to comply with UN Resolutions after the Gulf War.

The Gulf War was approved by the United Nation for a coalition of armies from different nation to come together and oust Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait back to Iraq. Hussein started it.

Obamacare is designed to wipe Medicare out as an available option.

In bold, We don't know about any subprime mortgage caused and it maybe not always on FM/FM side, also CRA is continued into Reagan and HWB.

UN didn't approve the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Not only that....banks were forced to put brick and mortar banks in neighborhoods where they could not thrive in order to be covered by FDIC. The problems with banks can all be traced back to Carter.

You are not correct, in 1994 when Axelrod made the comment about Bush's golfing, it was the senior. GW Bush was yet to be in the office.

oh my.... looks like somebody's out of touch in here....

One big mess with the fingerprints of Dodd and Frank.

Again......this is about golfing during a bad economy.

This thread is about the hypocrisy of Axelrod on Bush's golfing while the economy was bad but strangely silent on Obama's. Not about handicaps.

Yet, the thread wasn't about that but the hypocrisy of Bush playing golf while the economy was bad as commented by Axelrod.

the OP thread discussing the hypocrisy on the golfing aspect by Axelrod towards Bush but remain silent about Obama.

That's what this thread is about...the hypocrisy of Axelrod towards Bush vs Obama on golfing.

And how does that relate to Obama/Bush playing golf during a bad economy?

Well, this thread is about Axelrod's hypocrisy between Bush and Obama on golfing.

All of those "friendly" reminders, then this:

So, it appears that my comments; "This is just another Obama bashing thread" were accurate. All of these threads start with some Obama negative, "Golfs too much, bows too low, cannot throw a strike" then expand to include whatever GOP propaganda you can fit under the hood before the thread is locked, or the crowd moves on.

OK. Guess I have had enough of this one. Better start a new one on his choice of food for Friday night dinner and movies. Or his tailor. Or his daughter's school grades. Or whatever...

Actually, this thread is about Axelrod's hypocrisy on his finger pointing on the golfing issue with Bush. And I agree with him that golfing during times when the economy is bad presents a bad image for the president. I agree with Teddy Roosevelt's advice to Taft to not golf, too.

:dunno:

No one is forcing you to read any particular thread or participate in one. BTW, I'm sure Obama can throw a strike. Just needs to move a little closer to the catcher.

And people line up to buy the books, watch the shows, buy the DVDs. Why should they stop?

Yeah, kind of like "Dreams of my Father". Geez, people should just stop reading altogether. Then we can be in ignorant bliss.

Your question is very subjective, because whatever answers I give, you will disagree because you don't agree with Obama's ideas.

He probably disagrees with Obama's ideas, because Obama hasn't been able to fix anything.

I do, however, agree with Biden. He stated that the economic crisis is entirely Obama's fault.

Kind of reminds you of the "blame Bush" crowd that got the current crook elected huh?

Invoking executive privilege to cover his own criminally embarrasing actions before Congress ....

As a paid member, I am entitled to read and reply where I wish. Thanks for the nudge towards the door though.

You seem to want to correct me when I mention anything other than Axelrod does not condemn Obama for golfing, but you are free to discuss the body counts in Afghanistan, mortgage crisis, Obamacare. When did you get the Golden Key to the political forum?

When Naisho posted every golf round, there was a whole lot of silence, folllowed by you reminding us that we should still criticize Axelrod. What's the matter, all those weekend golf dates he had make it more difficult to paint him a deadbeat for not showing up for work?

OK, next thread.

Problem is,, I am not part of the "blame Bush" crowd. I gave him a chance. He had nearly a full term under his belt before I began to distrust his leadership direction. (Shock and Awe ring a bell?)

In comparison to some of you Righties, I look like Abby Hoffman. Sorry I don't have a shrine to Reagan in my basement. BTW, I expect you to get the "Please stay on the topic of Alexrod does not criticize Obama for his golfing" from our thread leader. Oh wait, you are allowed to toss more sidetracking materials, because they are pro-GOP.

Carry on.
