"President out of touch....plays golf during bad economy..."

Again, the point is entirely missed about the golfing in this thread. It's the hypocrisy coming from Axelrod who bleated and complained about Bush's own golfing when the economy was bad and how it looks bad for Bush but yet remained mum about Obama's golfing in an economy that's even worse than Bush's time. Not about whether Bush or Obama golfed on a weekend but the hypocrisy from Axelrod.

Teddy Roosevelt advised Taft to not golf during his presidency because it is a sign of extravagance when most people couldn't afford to play golf at their leisure. A fatal image for the president.

First Off The Tee - Don Van Natta, Jr. - Google Books

Again, how come Axelrod is mum about Obama's golfing who have golfed nearly 5 times as much as Bush and even in a worse economy than during the Bush's presidency? That's what this thread is about...the hypocrisy of Axelrod towards Bush vs Obama on golfing.
Don't you just hate it when people stray off topic from the intended plot? Since virtually every topic posted here is a beatdown of Obama, most of us try to find something useful to discuss. Hypocricy? In the eye of the beholder. Take a look at this.
First, someone posts a complete list of all the golfing rounds. Then a Conservative member fires back:
Interesting but a complete waste of time!
So, it is only the Conservative cub reporters that are allowed to keep track of this vital statistic? The rest of us, when showing the actual dates of these "golfing offenses" are shown the door, and told to stop wasting time and keep the focus on the hypocrites in the MM? So hypocricy accusations trump facts? Do you really want that kind of control over a thread you post? Well then, why not start a blog site? That way, you can delete opinions that differ, troll the opponents, and control what the readers see.

Well, this thread is about Axelrod's hypocrisy between Bush and Obama on golfing.

:dunno:

I don't see how Palin fits into this picture. I'm pretty sure she doesn't like to golf. I could be wrong though.

And people line up to buy the books, watch the shows, buy the DVDs. Why should they stop?

I wasn't talking about consumerism, I was talking about their personalities, who they are--attention and money moochers with no interest in people's well-being.

Thanks for the opinion. I would ask for links on a lot of that but for the most part its off topic. We know what this guy can do and have heard enough of his lies....next please. And it that guy sucks, which if it's Romney he probably will, run his butt out of there too. *shrug*

Off topic... Do you have an OCD about that?

Links? Come on, a lot of that stuff is common knowledge. We know that the mortgage crisis started before Obama took office. We also know that Bush had an original goal to go after Bin Laden, but he totally went off track and started new wars. Before Obama. If you must have a link for every single thing that we already know, you have an issue.

He has to look for links on his own and he loves to troll you so that why you have to watch out. Just tell him to google it up.

Our understanding of some of your "facts" differs. :)

Ok then, what's the fact about the mortgage crisis? During whose presidency did it start? How about the current Middle East wars--did they start during Obama's presidency? How about Romney--is Medicare safe after all?

Did Obama improve things? Are people better or worse off now? These questions and others....

NOW you are getting off track and whacking around the bush and avoiding the heat. Can you honestly expect a president to just pick up the pieces and fix everything in four years? No citation needed there...

How about fix something.... anything???

I think it's fair to point out David Axelrod's hypocrisy. It is obviously there that he isn't saying anything about his boss' golfing habits.

Get him to say a word or two or apologize for his past comment to HW Bush?
Doubt that is gonna happen ever unless Axelrod has no political ties and doesn't work with the Obama administration/campaign anymore.

Let us know if you ever find someone willing to commit career suicide and rat out their boss - it just ain't gonna happen in all reality.

The mortgage crisis? That started with Jimmy Carter and then it was Bill Clinton who opened the floodgates by expanding Carter's passed Community Re-investment Act by forcing banks to accept applications from those who really could not afford a house (i.e. unqualified borrowers) allowing them to buy bigger and more expensive houses. It was this whole Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mess with thanks to Carter and Clinton. It had helped create this housing bubble.

Obama choose not to get out of the Afghanistan war. Nearly 5 times as many deaths under Obama than Bush.

The Iraq war was approved by the United Nation ("use of deadly force") as a way for a coalition of forces to force Hussein to comply with UN Resolutions after the Gulf War.

The Gulf War was approved by the United Nation for a coalition of armies from different nation to come together and oust Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait back to Iraq. Hussein started it.

Obamacare is designed to wipe Medicare out as an available option.

Not HW Bush but GW Bush. Yet as you have stated, the hypocrisy is there.

Not HW Bush but GW Bush.

You are not correct, in 1994 when Axelrod made the comment about Bush's golfing, it was the senior. GW Bush was yet to be in the office.

Your question is very subjective, because whatever answers I give, you will disagree because you don't agree with Obama's ideas.

Exactly! But numbers don't lie....all that money spent and we are in dreadful shape. All those broken promises are still out there.... no denying those. If you still want to vote for the guy that is your choice....

Don't forget Bush and the sub-prime issues. But you did prove my point that this didn't start during Obama's time.

Obama was advised by his military committee not to just pull our soldiers right after election. Also, he knew that pulling them all out right away would mean oppressed groups would be slaughtered, and we can't just stand by and do nothing. Plus, Obama knew the oil industry wanted our soldiers to protect their interests, and I am not happy about that one. But what about Romney? He wants to keep the soldiers out there and spend more of our tax payer money on wars.

Obamacare is designed to wipe Medicare out as an available option.

That's because the Medicare money would be shifted to people's own insurance plans that have the same benefits as Medicare. This reform is based on Romney's own idea in Massachusetts.
