Ex-Penn coach charges in sex cases

I was actually tweeting at the same time that Ashton Kutcher did that, he admitted he didnt know what was going on and apologized immediately... I can say that PERSONALLY do know Ashton Kutcher and his family as they are from my home town and he would never support something like that, he even said on his facebook that he thought it was football related...

You could tell he felt bad....I felt bad for him.Even after he admitted his tweet was not thought out people piled on.

Fingers working before brain was in gear - he's not the only person to have had that happen.

It gets worse:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/09/s...-sandusky-wrapped-in-2005-gricar-mystery.html

The District Attorney, Ray Gricar, involved in investigating the first case against Sandusky, disappeared in April, 2005. His body has never been found. His car was found in a parking lot near two rivers; his laptop was found about 4 months later in the river, and eventually the hard drive was found, but nothing could be retrieved from it.

He was finally declared dead this past summer, so his daughter and family members could start distributing the estate.

You beat me to it. Yeah, This story is just beginning sadly.

Are you directing this at me? :squint:

Just kidding, I KNOW I have done this before. That ESPN article a year ago for sure.

No, not at you at all; I was talking about Ashton Kutcher.

Anyone remember "Something for Joey"? Yeah that was the 70's but still scary now....kinda

It wouldn't have made any particular impression, other than "Oh, too bad for him..." absent the connection with Sandusky. I watched "Without a Trace" all the time, and still watch "CSI" (original flavor only) and while I know some cases are "ripped from the headlines," I don't necessarily pay much attention to specific details or further background.

A DA might wrack up any number of enemies; there is (to this point) no proof or evidence or anything pointing to a connection between Gricar's investigation of Sandusky and his disappearance.

But in light of events, I'm sure someone will be looking into that further.

There is a paragraph on-line from about a month ago that the "Discovery" channel is preparing a documentary on the Gricar disappearance. Bet that project is now going to get more money, more investigative reporters, more attention, more everything.

Wouldn't it be something if it should turn out that a TV company ends up doing a better investigation than the legal authorities in Pennsylvania.

OK, maybe it is a little too harsh, but, in all fairness, he was indicted last week not yesterday. And, the story has been huge news in every paper and many magazines. I don't even follow college football and I know about it.
Paterno's involvement came out with the story and while he is not charged he certainly was someone who could have stopped it and it is hard to believe he didn't know about it. In my work, which is not school administration, everyone knows what's going on with everyone else.

I think it is hard to believe the firing was football related? Was the football team actually having that many on field problems that the would require the school to fire someone with three games left in the season? I just think that is a little too coincidental, don't you?

IMO, Ashton was thinking more of the football team than the victims. Just like the people who rioted last night.

Wow! Judge much?

I have a feeling this is going to get very, very involved.

I hate to say it, but it is highly probable.

That's exactly what Dr. Phil said last night on Cooper/CNN. He said it was probable that Sandusky was involved in children's programs for the very reason of meeting boys.

See, I don't always watch Fox.

Will we see a clandestine YouTube video in a few years?

:laugh2:

And I don't always agree with Dr. Phil, either. But that is pretty standard knowlege in the field.:giggle:

*brushes dust off shoulders*

Okay, so what did I miss? We're talking about Dr. Phil now? Ahhh jeeze.

Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if they turn this case into a movie.

I just saw on TV a Law and Order TV show that was about a football coach sexually abusing boys that had troubles background ,the show was not base anything true but it sure could had been about this.

I'm appalled at the people and officers who knew about this looked the other way.
