That is ridiculous to assume EVERYONE knew what was going on. It was a shock to a lot of people. People do have lives and arent always following the news. I LOVE COLLEGE football and I didnt know exactly what happened until last night myself.
his comment was made and less than a couple minutes later he apologized when someone tweeted him a nasty message. PEOPLE do make mistakes. Geesh why dont you take the head off of ANYONE who isnt informed RIGHT away.
OK, maybe it is a little too harsh, but, in all fairness, he was indicted last week not yesterday. And, the story has been huge news in every paper and many magazines. I don't even follow college football and I know about it.
Paterno's involvement came out with the story and while he is not charged he certainly was someone who could have stopped it and it is hard to believe he didn't know about it. In my work, which is not school administration, everyone knows what's going on with everyone else.
I think it is hard to believe the firing was football related? Was the football team actually having that many on field problems that the would require the school to fire someone with three games left in the season? I just think that is a little too coincidental, don't you?
IMO, Ashton was thinking more of the football team than the victims. Just like the people who rioted last night.
