I was brought up in the Catholic Church. I no longer follow them, but it is purely for Biblical interpretation reasons. I would never defend a pedophile in any garb. They (Catholic Church) have had plenty of issues with this, but so has the teaching profession. I don't see anyone calling for a teacher headhunt.

Child sexual assault is a horrid thing, no matter who does it. It, unfortunately, knows no social status, religious, socio-economic, or cultural bounds. Let's face it for what it is without trying to blame specific organizations for its existence.
