Ex-Penn coach charges in sex cases

I am beyond disgusted!

And regardless he was 28 years OLD! He had a chance to do something and DID NOTHING but tell the coach!!
Exactly. He saw enough at that time to describe what happened. There was no ambiguity in what he saw. At the very least, he should have shouted out "STOP" and called for campus security. He should have grabbed a towel, covered the boy, and swept him away from the perp, as quickly and calmly as possible.

... When McQueary saw Sandusky raping that child, BOTH of them looked at M. They saw him; he saw them. Can you imagine that child probably thinking "This will stop now, someone is seeing this."

And then it didn't....
Heartbreaking. :(

I'm turning 28 this month, and even if I was a teenager, I would have done something to stop the perpetrator. The graduate student put his needs ahead of the child's safety and wellness.

Disgusting. I can't say the word enough times, it's beyond disgusting.

I would beat him senselessly... a pure blind rage.
That wouldn't help the boy. It would probably scare him even more. It would be better to act swiftly and calmly to separate them, and protect the boy. Call the police and let them deal with the perp.

I was actually tweeting at the same time that Ashton Kutcher did that, he admitted he didnt know what was going on and apologized immediately... I can say that PERSONALLY do know Ashton Kutcher and his family as they are from my home town and he would never support something like that, he even said on his facebook that he thought it was football related...

the law fails many victims. Perp like him would either get away scot-free or get a slap on his wrists.

beating him senselessly is justice served. but of course... I would tell the boy to go wait in other room or something.

If you are not a Penn State fan, you are following the story. If you are a Penn State Fan, you are following the story, intently. At the least, he's stupid. At the most, he's culpable. Either way, he's not an innocent bystander.

You probably cannot find a college football fan anywhere in the U.S. that doesn't know what is going on.

Edit: Maybe this is too harsh, but you really can't plead ignorance.

well if he went to prison people would take care of him there... especially now that its in the court.. ugh

Apparently Sandusky has adopted and fostered children over the years. I hope they weren't subjected to the same treatment.

That is ridiculous to assume EVERYONE knew what was going on. It was a shock to a lot of people. People do have lives and arent always following the news. I LOVE COLLEGE football and I didnt know exactly what happened until last night myself.
his comment was made and less than a couple minutes later he apologized when someone tweeted him a nasty message. PEOPLE do make mistakes. Geesh why dont you take the head off of ANYONE who isnt informed RIGHT away.

and this is pretty sad because I'm actually applying to Penn State for grad school next year.

You don't know that for a fact at the moment of confrontation.

What? And the perp would just stand there waiting for his beating? Please, Jiro, think about that; use your head.

The safety and care of the victim should come first.

No. I will hold the perp down while telling the boy to go wait there and then the beating with pure blind rage shall commence.

but of course... that's just how it plays out in my head. in reality, well I dunno.

Fuck Joe Paterno, and fuck Penn State. They can take their "boo hoo, this isn't how it should have happened; you just don't understand" bullshit and shove it up their asses. Maybe then they'll start to realize the pain inflicted on numerous victims who will be scarred for life (total number still unknown, but could become much higher as more victims come forward).

This ridiculous attitude is what happens when people whorship human figures and treat sports like a religious activity. IT'S JUST FOOTBALL, AND HE WAS JUST A FOOTBALL COACH, no matter how you try and imbibe it with your ridiculous heartfelt emotions. This is the same sort of behavior that prompts people to beat up fans of opposing teams. "Oh, it's the love of the game. Crime of passion"--get the fuck out of here.

Adios, Jo Pa Scumbag. The sooner Nitwits dry their crying eyes and realize their false god is no more, the sooner the victims can receive justice.
