Well, Arizona is following a Federal law.

As long as there exists a "reasonable suspicion" then a “reasonable attempt” can be done to verify the suspect’s immigration status is. Arizona is actually enforcing and following a Federal law.
Sorry dude.
ICE agents are responsible to take care of illegal immigrants, not state police, sheriff or city police, except for secondary case.
AZ immigrant bills give state police, sheriff, city police an authority to check on immigrants as primary instead of secondary, including US citizens as mistake suspicion. It is unconstitutional to give an authority to police to take care on primary case and it won't live so longer because court will kill it like happened to immigrant bill in Oklahoma in 2 years ago. Polices in AZ don't have same level as ICE agents do due different training level.
Sure, congresses haven't take action on situation about illegal immigrants and they has been fought for over 5 years but won't figure out because of huge immigrant protest in 2006 has impacts on politicians. Federal is supposed to put more ICE agents that based on population, it means CA, AZ, NM and TX are closer to Mexico so more ICE agents are needed.
I do support police to check on immigrant status for secondary case, not primary because they could get mistake so easily due lacking of training, even training to police in AZ is nowhere as good as federal does. It means latino families with brown skin would be easier to be target and same goes with anybody whoever don't speak english so well.
Not all illegal immigrants are commit crime, only some of them since they are looking for better job and not easier to get green card either so that caused them to crossing illegally so Mexico need improve with their economy and have more job openings.
