If you get new job under varies of companies, some of them don't offers insurance, also medicaid/medicare are more limited based on income and some of situation, if you get good paying job and don't offers insurance then you would out of lucky, that reason because I support universal health care or affordable insurance under government at cheaper price. My job offers insurance but not cheaper so enough for low income and hearing employees are not quality for medicaid except if they are status of disability. Most developed countries and some developing countries have universal health care like Canada, Mexico, all part of Europe, most part of Asia, including Canada and most part of South America since USA don't have one.
That's not true about government will cut on SSI or SSDI, it wouldn't going happen and they are increase every years based on inflation. Both of SSI and SSDI are based on quality that depends on situation, if you are deaf and get good paying job then you aren't quality for SSI, every individual are different based on their situation and quality.
If USA adopt universal health care then medicare and medicaid are possibly to be repeal (removed) or explanation of integrate into universal health care, it means everyone, income don't matters, can go to health care at no charge, all paid are goes on government that fund on health.
If your state has economy issue then it supposed be blame to state but not at all time, however we are in recession but not officially by IRS because GDP isn't negative yet but only 0.2% or so, the economy in our state is fine but federal then no, every states will affected if we are in recession. Some states are not good with economy system.
