You know you're a conservative when....

You assumed that my father dropped out of high school due to financial issues. I said people shouldn't be forced to drop out of high school due to financial issues and not only that, it was also in a different sentence.

Earlier, you complained about today's high standards in educational settings being too hard on your child. Honestly, I think they are too low. Way too low. A lot of people are still graduating high school when they are in fact functionally illiterate. A lot of them end up working at Walmart and other low-paying jobs.

If you work hard enough, even with a family, you can still acquire a college diploma. There are a lot of them out there. You just seem to believe people shouldn't be allowed to achieve because of some mistakes they made in the past.

People with families should be able to achieve more in order to bring more prosperity and happiness to their surrounding environment if they want to.

That's what school loans are for. It's not a free ride for them. They will have to work hard to get where they want to and they should be given the opportunity to do so.

Acorn have to visit nursing homes to help people vote.. Some stoke resident can speak on their behalf but most can't

Exactly means it is a voting fraud. We don't know how they are handling it.

If a stroke victim can speak for themselves, there should be no concern over voter fraud.

Why do Conservatives constantly bring up Acorn? If Acorn forced people to vote Republican, I'm sure they wouldn't have any problems with them.

Well... how would you feel if Acorn was for Republicans? I think you don't have any problems with them because they are for democrats.

It's how our society is shaped. In the old days, people got married when they were ready to settle down and have a family (sex) . Nowadays, People rather go to college so sex is no longer a marriage thing.

Being married and going to college is very hard. Any married people knows that marriage is hard work and college would just complicate it even further.

Not necesarily. My deceased parents were married in 1947 and remained married for 53 years until my father passed away. My mother was 20 and my father 22 at the time. My mother didn't have a job and the job my father had was unsteady. Despite that, they still made their marriage work. My mother had her first child when she was 24 and had 3 more children after that.

You think incorrectly. :)

How would I feel if Acorn were for Republicans? I wouldn't feel anything since influencing a person's vote is considered voter fraud.

Your point?

You know you are a conservative when liberals hate you because of your "unpopluar" beliefs and you are in a Democrat state.

The same thing is true if you hold mostly liberal viewpoints and live in a conservative neighborhood like I do. :)

 How does someone rely on SSI "too much?"

Since when did we live in a socialist society? George W. Bush has been President for the past 8 years. If you think we live in a socialist society, you can blame him.

I have disagree with you and already had been discussed in other thread.

That's part of liberal's idea.

What's the difference between a person campaigning for republican by chanting VOTE FOR REPUBICAN/Obama and influence a person's vote ??? either way, both are registering you to vote.

Either way, they are registering you to vote.

No one is putting a gun to someone's head forcing them to vote Republican or Democrat.

They may be registering you to vote, but you are the one who places the final vote.

Just as insisting that we live in a socialist society and Obama is a Marxist/Socialist is a part of a conservative's idea.

My problem is that it is not neutral and monitored. frauds are bound to happen.

In my opinion, free thinkers tend to go against what is around them. I have friends in Miami who are moderate, but they usually go against the liberals (since Miami is really liberal) but I also have friends in Alabama who are moderate and go against the conservatives. They are more against "groupthink" than the actual beliefs of the other person.

You might actually be against some conservatives if you surround yourself with them.

Yeah, that's depend on a location, and it's interesting how people react to. :)

I just finished reading it. Thanks for the laugh.

Aha, no problem. ;)

it may be old but it need to be done about it for next time. Denying that frauds exist is like denying that people steals.

oh so it is important for everyone to be businessmen??? My dad was a dropout but he loves his mechanic jobs...said he won't retire. He struggle with his high school than his job. Kept failing so he decided to dropout.

It's hard because people look down at people who don't really want to further their education and just do trades. They keep making standards higher and higher. I mean look at me, I have a hearing son, but the way they want him to speak and write is a higher standard than they expect from a deaf person read and write.. and we keep trying to keep up with hearing people. (or at least trying to help my hearing son)

I am in agreement with u on that part...not everyone is made to go to college but with competetion with the way it is these days, getting a decent job without a college degree is very difficult. Heck, even people with college degrees are having a hard time finding decent jobs.

My dad never went to college and now owns a business that was successful for 30 plus years before it folded recently due to the economy. He loved what he did.

I'm just trying to make a point. Those who want to get marry and raise their family can't because everyone's high expectation of college degree.
And was I minding your business???? I'm sorry but you volunteer that information. And where did I make assumptions? I was just going by what you said "forced" and "finanical issues".

I got married and had a baby as an undergrad student at Arizona St. and I was able to graduate with my BA degree 6 months after having my baby.

People who are married with children are going to school to complete their studies..just takes longer.
