No they don't. There's an overwhelming backlash against those that support Polanski. A lot of the celebrity bloggers at the Huffington Post started supporting Polanski and their readers revolted in the comments.

There have been some- Lisa Kudrow, Kirstie Alley, Luc Besson, and more I'm sure. That's all I can remember off the top of my head who have specifically distanced themselves from the Polanski apologists.

This quote from Harvey Weinstein sums up the self-righteous hypocritical echo chamber that is Hollywood culture: "Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion." These people are beyond parody now.

I'm referring to pedophiles. They're also regular people, politicians, and priests too. Why point finger at hollywood? I mean really..... whoever thought Hollywood has a better moral compass than a politician is.... is..... :laugh2:

This is nothing new to me. Ya'all haved watched movies. You are basically financing them and their corruptions. The blood is on your hands too. and my hands too.

So Whoopi had her own opinion that appears to be different than some others so what can we do about it? That was just her opinion. We can't force people to change their opinions or whatever so just at least accept what they say and move on. That case was more than 30 years ago...seriously time to move on. Whatever that man did to her, may not have that respect on him for many years and he deserves that so...let it go. It was just her opinion. nothing else.

Whoopi's daughter was a teen mom. Her daughter got pregnant when she was 15 YO. Maybe this influences her opinion? I don't believe Whoopi's comments were appropriate. Child rape is rape. Just wondering if it hits too close to home for her to be objective.

Rape is NEVER funny or excusable.

In fact It really bothers me why anyone would consider it socially acceptable and 'not rape' to have sex with a 13 year old child.
 
I saw Rosemary's Baby but that was several years before the rape happened.

Not me. If you rape someone I would never condone that. I don't care if the perpertrater is a film star, a politition or anything else. Once they rape they are low life in my opinion.
 
Roman should go to jail. He raped a child. She has forgiven him, but that does not excuse him. The famous people that open their mouths to voice support of him are making a mistake.
Grouping all of Hollywood as Roman-oholics and rape supporters is foolish as well. She goofed. Not all of them goofed. It is not guilt by profession here folks.

It seems that people are trying to label Kokonut simply because they dislike him and his politics. I'm not fond of his politics, either, but Kokonut isn't the issue here, folks. The issue is Roman Polanski and how he skirted justice on a rape charge.

This thread has gone about ten ways of wrong, and I've already stated how I feel about the subject, so I'm out.
