Who is God?

It is quite sad that I have to copy/paste these quotes repeatedly. :(

I have to agree, because I often don't do that. I just delegate responsibility to them because I know they can read clearly, so it's their job to go back to a previous post to re-read what I said. I am not their babysitter if they are "adults."

But it is amusing that Easter is this weekend, yet Reba and others can't defend their so-called God. Easter is supposed to be about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, right? I wonder what Jesus would think if he came back only to find some Christians worshipping him, instead of God? That is something I am pondering about.

RITCount, don't worry what the people says... Of course I know you are a mature, no matter how old you are...

They believe u'r still a kid because u have not live a full life yet. It has do with age and attiude. My husband would smack my 24 years old son if he disrespect me with his attiudes.

And I'm 27 with a fiancee. Would that mean you and your husband would smack me or my wife around if we're going to live a full life, anyways? I doubt you can do that to a couple.

No one can have a "full" life. It would be impossible to. Again, age has no relation attitude. If you can prove it, then do so. I can point out one fact that would refute such a "proof": there are ignorant people everywhere young and old.

And I've witnessed that there can be a lot of ignorant people. I've seen some around here at RIT. Heck, I've met some ignorant people in my hometown. Guess some people here think ignorance isn't on an epidemic level.

RITCount, don't worry what the people says... Of course I know you are a mature, no matter how old you are...

Thank you, Liebling. I appericate the compliment. It is gratifying that there are people here like you to balance out the ignorant people in this world.

Excuse me CyberRed

Not onlys by me but others, we should be considered others people's feelin'gs, I guess you don't get my points do you ?

Actually I have a mother who is hearing, I told her about this Religions being fought by a cats & dogs fighting with each other saying your wrong, mine's right, who's wrong who's right and the final answer my mother said about this:

IT IS A WASTES OF TIME!!!

Well, if it really bothers you so much ... then, why should you come in here for ? Go and find elsewhere that may be interested you. I am sure others will tell you the same thing. ;)

Respectfully disagree.

Sure, we (adults, teenagers and children) have different learning styles and needs but we are STILL learning everyday as long as we are alive, no matter how old we are. Oh yes, we learn something new everyday... :) It never stops...

U don't get it. Do u believe 25 years old thinkers are thinking alike 50 years old thinkers? I guess some people never learn.

Uh, I'm not a kid. I'm 27. What does that tell you? I'm going to be a part of the "older people" group you claim you are part of. I've got a wife in the wings, what does that tell you?

Good luck watching yourself in the mirror when you get up only to realize even a 27 year old guy can do things that you "adults" claim me, a "kid" can't.

U don't get it? U are still young to me. :) U have not expeirence my age yet but u will in 20 years from now. I was 27 once and young mother, now I am 20 years older and going thru early menopause. Are u going thru mid life crisis yet? I know some men already went thru midlife crisis when they hit 40's. It is what I mean, everyone go thru the phases of life. You are still young, enjoy it while it lasts. That is what they see u and others, still young and still have not reach some point of life yet. I am sure Tousi and Reba see me young because they already went thru 40's and I am in the middle of it. U and I can talk about religions, politicans, science and go on as any age do but life expeirences u and I are on different level right now.

Can you make clear of this?:

"The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies." Isaiah 42:13
What does that have to do with Muhammad? That's about the LORD.

If I'm wrong, can you tell me what these verses refer to?:

"He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you." (John 16:14)
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26)
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." (John 15:26)

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit, not Muhammad.

"The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken." (Deuteronomy 18:15)
That Prophet was Jesus Christ, the final Prophet, Priest, and King.

That still does not make him God.
It does.

Based on?
Faith.

Can you prove that they did not hide Jesus' sinful acts? ;)
All jokingly aside, I retract my statement. After all, I realized that probably all prophets were sinless. ;)
Only Jesus was sinless. He was sinless because He was God, NOT because He was a prophet. Everyone else, including prophets, was and is a sinner.

Hebrews 11 is mainly about faith. Moses only foretold of a "Christ". Jews did not pray to Jesus Christ at that time.
It was their faith in God's promise of a Saviour that saved them, not their works.

...For you to call someone else immature makes yourself one as well.
I don't know to whom you are referring but it wasn't me calling anyone "immature" in this thread.

You need to lighten up and not take everything so personally. The reason most people are "kids" compared to Tousi and me is because we are so old.

You'll never make it to a ripe old age like us if you forever sweat the small stuff.

Calm down,..you take things seriously, we were just joking around.
smile!
Quite right! Life's too short to take everything so seriously. :)

... Again, age has no relation attitude. .. .
I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt in regards to some rude "snotty" attitudes; I was hoping that the rudeness was just related to young age, and that there was still hope that with the passing of years a more courteous attitude would develop.

Remember, the age is only number. :)
Yeah, so why are people upset when Tousi and I merely point out that our numbers are closer to 100 than the numbers of the "kids"? What's the big deal?

There're some adults who act like an immaturity and childish way and some children and teenagers act like maturity young adult. That's why I consider ages as number. :)

What would you label 30 years old man who acts like an immaturity way as...??? I would consider him as the kid because of his immaturity and childish behavior, no matter either he is 30 or 50 years old.
That's the attitude I mentioned. Some posters are very rude when they tell people to "shut up" or that they are "stupid". That is a very childish rude attitude. I hope they can grow out of it.

Exactly. Yiffy knows I've got a wife in the making, and I doubt a person who is immature would easily get a wife like I have. Even a 27 year old guy like me can be mature and still debate.

Welcome to the hard lessons of reality, Reba.
I have no problem with young people debating. I do have a problem with rudeness and the "nya, nya, nya, nya" attitude--that is childish.

...But it is amusing that Easter is this weekend, yet Reba and others can't defend their so-called God. Easter is supposed to be about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, right? I wonder what Jesus would think if he came back only to find some Christians worshipping him, instead of God? That is something I am pondering about.
God doesn't need anyone to "defend" Him.

Philippians 2
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Reba, after seeing Teresh simply demolish your steadfast beliefs, I just wonder how I could do any better.

What does that have to do with Muhammad? That's about the LORD.

"The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies." Isaiah 42:13

Jesus did not go forth as a "mighty man", but a peaceful man. Muhammad did.
Jesus did not stand up like a "man of war", but preached hope and love. Muhammad did.
Jesus did not "cry, yea, roar against his enemies", but suffered under God's light. Muhammad did.
If you knew Islamic history with an objective view, you wouldn't necessarily be arguing with this fact. Muhammad was vastly different from Jesus as Muhammad waged war while Jesus did not.

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit, not Muhammad.

It is hard to believe that a "Holy Spirit" (if it exists) would do such a physical act. Besides, "the Comforter" is often referred to as a being, a person.

Muhammad glorified Jesus, commanding all Muslims to acknowledge and respect Jesus.
Muhammad reminded Muslims of Jesus and even repeated what Jesus had said centuries ago.
Muhammad told Muslims of what Jesus did.
All these is a fact. Perhaps Muhammad is the Comforter.

That Prophet was Jesus Christ, the final Prophet, Priest, and King.

"The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken." (Deuteronomy 18:15)

Thank you for admitting Jesus was a prophet.

But I'm sorry, it isn't Jesus. Think about it. Moses said God will raise another prophet (which literally all Christians deny Jesus is) that is like Moses. If you studied Biblical history and Islamic history, you'd realize that Moses and Muhammad are similar in many ways.

If you did not study the Qur'an/Islamic history, then you would never know of any of these! Again, the Bible is all you know! Please research plentiful of Islamic history and the religion before you even post. Open your mind and be willing to learn, Reba.
