You going to hate me for saying this, but IF I had a deaf child, I would want my deaf child to hear with CI or hearing aids which ever will help my child be able to hear a bit more, not because I don't accept my child's deafness but it's more of fitting in and having much more out of this life beside relaying on things or someone to help them... and I definitely want my deaf child to speak and sign so my child will never feel left out along with friends of all kinds

Dont tell me that I dont know nothing since I have had been talking with CIers or Ex CIers s sides who explained it to me. Also I have showed the fact of Deaf girl with CI who complained there is no BSL from the start. Thats the problem the parents doesnt listen those Deaf children s needs or want d/Deaf chlidren to be happy. Thats very wrongdoing, parent whoever did this.

You are full of it.. Boult. BI BI has ASL and Signed English then learn how to speak in speech classes to understand the concept of language first.. It s not only ASL if you mind.

I agree with being deaf and "mute" is not easy to go on life with. I have no problem with deaf learning to speak, I think it's the best tool for communication. I always thought you can speak, Are you learning how to now?

in my case yeah it was like 2 months back in 2003 but it should be shorter today I guess where you are is not staffed with installer yet so they will have to send someone from nearby town to your place of residence to install.

I wish they sent you a email asking self-install or installer visit so you can choose self-install then you don't have to wait for installer to contact to make appt. oh well..
