Even though you tell an almost 3 year old not to stomp with two feet into the puddle he'll still do it.... :mad2: (I also want to point out that it was a very muddy puddle)... you get the picture :cool2:

That between 2 to 15% of the population has eidetic memory. (photographic memory)

Well, I just learned something new! I thought it was extremely rare. Hey, boys and girls. I just learned eidetic memory is much more common than I thought!

I learned a male rat can bread up to 120 times a day.

Male lions breed up to 50 times a day in the wild.

Hmmm brings whole new meaning to cat and mouse......

bread? When I first saw this I had an image of a rat doing you know what to a loaf of bread! :giggle:

A bit off topic, but I have been studying musical hallucinations recently. I have been comparing the hallucinations experienced by people suffering from psychosis compared with the phenomena of musical hallucinations that have been reported in deaf people (usually late deafened.) People who experience ongoing tinnitus will often get musical hallucinations for awhile. It would appear, that in those who have lost their hearing, it is not so much pathology, but an adaptive effort of the brain to create stimulus that is now absent because of the hearing loss.

I know, I know......but the mention of tinnitus reminded me, and I thought it was interesting.:giggle:

If you're talking about hearing music constantly, that's me in a nutshell. I will get 2 different things running on each side of the head and then I will have the full orchestra going full out with something.

Right now, I have Precious Memories on one side and John Lennon's Imagine on the other. :giggle:

For TXGOLFER--we were fixing to to to Ez Burger yesterday but got sidetracked. I learned that the owner had some dispute with his employer, In n Out in 1969 so he quit and struck out on his own. Now he has 12 of these stores and has ventured to offering breakfast, chicken sandwiches, etc. Most of the 12 are around here but I saw that there's one in Orem, UT. We will be going there soon.

Great....It is a good place. I didn't know the history though. I do worry about great burger places when they expand their menu though....seems the burger quality take a hit

Many fast food burger places don't make a good quality burger.

"Where's the beef?"

No I have it too. I remember lists of names and not numbers at all. It is way more common than I realized.

If I had made a guess at the prevalence, I would have thought it was much less common, too. I'm sure I had heard the stats at some point in time during my education, but didn't recall them at all.

I think maybe the breakfast offering was to diversify.....fill in the slower morning hours.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Hearing lyrics is less common, but many people will hear a full orchestra. Very interesting that you will get 2 tunes at once.

I find this all really facinating. Am considering applying for some grant funding to research it in depth.
