That the Specials does wonder for my tinnitus.
I learned that just because you are craving Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies doesn't mean you can find a kid selling them on a rainy day! :|
I just brought a lemon cookie from them today on a rainy day yum yum!
I couldn't find a girl scout anywhere today! Yesterday, they were everywhere! Sould have bought cookies when I saw them, I guess!:P
I learned to make a reflection effect using Flash. It's like the logo on the upper left corner of this page, except I used Flash to make mine.

What is that because I need something
It's not unheard of for deafies to turn to music or loud vibrations to ease their tinnitus.

Cool tip
A bit off topic, but I have been studying musical hallucinations recently. I have been comparing the hallucinations experienced by people suffering from psychosis compared with the phenomena of musical hallucinations that have been reported in deaf people (usually late deafened.) People who experience ongoing tinnitus will often get musical hallucinations for awhile. It would appear, that in those who have lost their hearing, it is not so much pathology, but an adaptive effort of the brain to create stimulus that is now absent because of the hearing loss.
I know, I know......but the mention of tinnitus reminded me, and I thought it was interesting.
The voices...
They speak to me.
I just don't obey them.
I just tell mine to shut up and leave me alone!
But yeah... when I don't wear my hearing aids for awhile, sometimes I hear sing-song voices. :|
You know, that is actually a very common phenomena. I didn't realize it until I started doing some serious research about the topic. I found it really interesting. And it just clarifies that what is pathological in one person is really an adaptive response in another.
If you don't mind me asking, does that tuning fork drone stick on one particular pitch or musical tone?

One pitch... heh. Can't really identify it. The tuning fork sound happens with or without the hearing aids.
