Shel, maybe you can use something else? I confess I cannot think of anything (I got too used to technology!) but is there something you can borrow from another teacher?

There is other things I can do but I have to make them (takes like at least 30 mins) or look for them. I couldnt just leave my students alone while I go to the other building where the resource room is at. I have had my Smartboard projector for 5 years with no problem. Apparently it is getting old. Time for new upgrades but NO money.

Time to figure out how to plug in your Android to your teaching supplies!

I've been trying to figure out myself how I could plug my iPhone into work apps and not succeeding so far.

Whiteboard but I had all the stuff typed on on my powerpoint and there was no way I could write all of that on the whiteboard because that would make my class unstructured and then my students will start losing focus while waiting for me to write everything out.

Like one, for example,


"What is the value of the 7 in 271,067? Then, write it in four different ways."

To write all that is very very time consuming while trying to do classroom management.

I just blah with my lessons today and played math games. Oh well.

What grade are you teaching? I don't even know what that problem means. Too bad they don't let old people start over. I am behind whatever your grade students are in math.

hmm.. Is it safe to use indoors? I tried to look for single gas burner for woks via google and the starting price is ... $2k! They all seem marketed toward Chinese restruants.
