Tried out my new sewing machine, and it worked. Whew!

Started working on my neighbor's old computer, to prepare it for a new home.

I have a stack of mending to get done and a bunch of clothes to get made. Better pull out my sewing machine this week. Thanks for the reminder.

No, I seriously forgot what was in the bag I kept tripping over. Too lazy to look in it when I do, ya know?

Besides, My sewing machine is on the dining room floor. My cabinet is in storage, but at least I can set it up on the table and go for it. Daughter just reminded me, I also have a few quilts to mend as well. That's handwork. I love to sew. It's so relaxing.
 
Bad day at work...my Smartboard projector bulb blew out in the middle of my math lesson and screwed up my whole day. Now, I dont have access to my Smartboard so I am scrambling to plan lessons in the old fashioned way. Big problem is that I forgot was it was like to teach before the Smartboards were installed 5 years ago. So frustrating!

It may sound like a dumb question, but do you have a blackboard in the classroom?

Could be. Now that makes me wonder about the theories of how the dynasties ruled eons ago.

Oh gee! That reminds me of my sister. She threw an old working sewing machine in the trash without my knowledge. I said to her what the hell. I needed it for sewing my pants. Well, I am a young man that sew my pants once a while. I both like and hate it. I could use my mother's older sewing machine which seems okay. A few years ago, I was able to see the needle's hole for inserting a thread easily, and now I use my reading glasses to see it clearly. I have heard that many new sewing machines often break down. I think most of them are probably made in China. Some labels do not tell that they are made in China because they changed it to "R of C" (or ROC) as Republic of China. The ROC is still part of China.

Recently, I got an email from someone about an article that some of our new clothes are toxic. Was downtown Jax allll day today, from 11 to 7:30pm...my legs and feet are killing me...so much walking and business to take care of...Met with the Domestic Violence Counselor, several JSO officers that were super nice, even the State Attorney....visited the new Jail. Learning experience!...Going to contact our Legal Aid for the Deaf tomorrow and set up a meeting also. She does awesome work with the deafies in Jax!....We all chipped in for
chinese food....and a little sushi.

These old legs aren't meant for walking! HAHA...But I do get around. Basically it was a nice day.

hmm.. Is it safe to use indoors? I tried to look for single gas burner for woks via google and the starting price is ... $2k! They all seem marketed toward Chinese restruants.

I've never used a gas stove and I've always wanted to use on but I don't see landlord buying me one.

My parents got upset with my landlord when they found out my fridge didn't have a veggie crisper but no amount of nagging would change their minds. I felt embrassed.

Whiteboard but I had all the stuff typed on on my powerpoint and there was no way I could write all of that on the whiteboard because that would make my class unstructured and then my students will start losing focus while waiting for me to write everything out.

Like one, for example,


"What is the value of the 7 in 271,067? Then, write it in four different ways."

To write all that is very very time consuming while trying to do classroom management.

I just blah with my lessons today and played math games. Oh well.
 
I figure out think so probably on transfer hosting I hope be crap blacklisting doesn't work!
 
Shel, maybe you can use something else? I confess I cannot think of anything (I got too used to technology!) but is there something you can borrow from another teacher?
