What are you thinking about? Part VIII

I think I have road service on my insurance. Geico paid for towing my car once this year.
Give them a call...I keep the # in my wallet...(it's an 800 number to call for road service) when ur car is broke town, out of gas...etc., etc.The toe truck driver(s) have always been super nice to me, even giving me a ride back home after leaving the car in the repair shop. Not too sure how many miles they allow to pick up ur car if you are out of town....give them a call.

You should call and made sure you still have it.

Ok I will give them a call.

I was trying to reply to a few of you above but somehow it would not let me. Kitchen remodel won't be really difficult, the sink, microwave and fridge we should still have access to most of the time. We are having a new double oven installed. We are replacing all the cabinet doors and drawers and the rest of the cabinet work will be painted white. We are having lights installed under the cabinets and new canned lightning in the ceiling. Big job is emptying all the cabinets.....then putting it back when kitchen is ready.

Seems like all we have done for months is clear one room but move all the junk to another. This is the part that is stressing me out. I don't have the energy to move everything back. Our guest room is full of boxes that have to be put away before my daughter and her boyfriend come to visit. If anyone knows of a secret energy pill please let me know. HAHA

Put them to work as "Movers" while they are here!!

Thinking my rent might go up in the fall (when the lease runs out). The new owners are doing a lot of "prettying up" here with landscaping. Lots of trees, bushes and flowers being planted. Some old trees, bushes, flowers were dug up first. And they filled in the pool - not surprised because I had read reviews of this place and someone complained that the pool wasn't open the last one or two summers.

Earlier this year they had removed all the shutters (some were already missing, some half hanging). Before I moved here awnings over the doors had been removed except for the doors facing a major street. Now even those are gone. I'm hoping they'll put up new awnings over the doors.

The electric company merged or changed ownership and somehow that created a credit rebate (one size fits all) for all customers. Since my electric bill is "small" now that I'm in an apartment, the rebate covers about 2-1/2 months.
Oh that is nice!

I know what you mean. A few years ago I went thru the whole kitchen remodel (and master bath remodel). At least you can use your sink, that's good. When we had the kitchen counter replaced that meant no sink for a while.

Now, for the past three months, I've had to live without my dining and living rooms, replumbing the entire house, and sheet rock mess. It's not over yet. Still have to redo the entire dining room ceiling sheetrock and trim, patch sheetrock through out the house, and paint in all areas. Then will come the intense cleaning of every object and surface in the house because of the sheetrock work. Ugh! It will probably be at least another month before my house is back together.

Exactly--the stress. I like everything to be in its place, not disorganized, and I don't want visitors until it's done. It does take a lot of energy--don't overdo it.

Yeah, I need that secret energy pill, too. Please share.

I was watching the news and there was a report about a school bus monitor beginning under investigation for getting too rough with a child on the bus.
I had on my CC and it said "school bus monster" instead of 'school bus monitor'. I wonder if this was a mistake or not. LOL!

My understanding is that most "real time captioning" is monitored voice recognition (voice recognition is used but a person is watching and correcting what errors they catch — which is not all of them.

IMO one of the funniest ones I saw was when it said "The brain is quickly pushing out of the area." (Bold added by me.)

Think I found a toy my cat really likes...and does not need my participation.
Toys R Us Hiding Mouse.

I saw the mini-series when it first came out. Is Lifetime showing it in that format, or is it going to be an all-day "binge" viewing?
