What are you thinking about? Part VIII

I do have a bunch that often eats together after church services on Sundays. The closest we come to celebrating birthdays is the person with a birthday close to that Sunday gets to pick where we go to eat (we all pay for our own meal). Other than when someone has a birthday, we just talk it over and go where most want to go.

Mine is always around Labor Day which is perfect for the State Fair that runs through Labor Day.

That happens to my mother and her twin a lot. Same with their mother (they're actually 2 days apart). Grandmother spent Thanksgiving in the hospital the year they were born.

Come to think of it, just about everybody in my family has a birthday either on or close to a holiday...

I was indigestion. My mom had prepared & eaten T-day dinner before going to the hospital early Friday morning.

Thinking about the beautiful, loud, thunder and lightning storm we had last night. Seems it was just over my area, my mom or brother did not see it. We ended up getting 1/4 to 1/2" of rain in an hour.

Also thinking about our big kitchen remodel starting on Monday. Only have a small portion of the kitchen packed up.

How are you coming with setting up a temp kitchen elsewhere in the house? The idea I have seen on several shows is to have a place for the old refrigerator, a microwave, hotplate and sink to do dishes so you can prepare a few simple meals while the main kitchen is torn up. The laundry room seems to be a common choice. I think it would be most used for breakfast.

We just finished with the hallway stairs renovations...3 months of being in a construction zone in my house but all worth it. What are you having done to your kitchen?
 
Thinking how there were more than 3 candidates on the ballot today. I thought a bunch of them had already dropped out of the race.
 
Wishing I had a 2nd or 3rd floor apartment right now. Looks like they're removing the in ground pool, but at ground level I can't see much.

That seems to happen every now and then in different places. Candidates decide to drop out after the date that the ballots are printed. Remember they do need lead time to make sure the ballots printed correctly or the software loaded correctly.

Could you go upstairs and look from a common hallway? Or could you get a good look by going outside?
 
birthdays....mine is also around Labor Day-

thinking it got back to March....it's in the 40's and drizzly

I am another part of the close to Labor Day birthday crowd. That resulted in school sometimes starting on my birthday back when I was a kid.
