There is huge firework store in NH , there is no sale taxes in NH so people can buy a lot of fireworks illegally . When I lived in Whitethorn , Ca. the old timers
shot off their guns and rifles into the air on the fourth ! That was a first for me !

How is buying fireworks from a store illegal? If fireworks were illegal in NH, the store wouldn't be there. :rolleyes:

A lot of people here go to South of the Border just past the state line to get the good stuff from SC. A neighbor when I lived in VA used to stock up on bottle rockets and firecrackers from there. Back in the good old days of course!

LOL! I had to ask my friend what was going and she told this was how they celebrated the fourth in the mountain . Fireworks could start a forest fire so shooting guns off was safer . Yeah the dogs had a blast playing the water on a hot day so their fun was spoiled too.
 
when you outlaw fireworks, only outlaws will have fireworks...

I see , that makes sense don't want to start any forest fires. Sorry about that spoiled business about the dogs not allowed to run in the water.

Thinking about my brother and his family.
 
Thinking about how life's been better since divorce. I do miss the kids at times when they are away, but it's easier to enjoy the time together. And I'm thinking of moving to a smaller place. It's nice that the girls have more space when they are here, but most of the time, it's just too big and old and leaky.
 
I'm thinking that I hope Australia get a new government tonight. The current Australian government cannot run the country.

It appears no one can run any country LOL God help us in the USA ! Our presidential elections are in November.

The current government had 3 failed budgets. It didn't pass as it was very very nasty budgets. Eg: raising up university fees for $100,000 a degree. Cuts to health, education.

They want American style Health care. Which means health cuts for bulk billing medicare (free doctor, free blood test, free x-ray, MRI etc which our tax pays for). This is making it harder for a lot of Australia residents.

Yeah it's gonna be very hard to find the right government who's able to run the country properly.

American style health care is not so cheap. My health care insurance sky rocketed due to Obama care . I can explain in PM so my post won't turn into a debate.
 
My health insurance premium dropped thanks to the ACA (aka Obamacare...)- it depends on your income. As it is insurance premium costs were always "skyrocketing" LONG before Obama ever came on the scene. The insurance companies are the ones who have the stranglehold on the country, not Obama.

Australia is a little nuts lol. If you go the 'American style', many poor people will go without insurance... and surprise- pass on the costs to the insurance.. who then pass it on to the consumers. It also wrecks the poor person's finances (a friend of mine went through that).
