Just taught my 5th graders about the people who established America and how they wanted to be free from the King. Many of my students thought that it was wrong for one person to rule a country. Cute!

Especially since rule comes down through bloodline. Now there is a sure fire way to guarantee those in power are appropriate.

The English royals were smart. They wanted to avoid the fate of the French King and the Russian Czar.

Shel, have your kids read Yertle the Turtle? Such a cute story about being free from royalty.

Uh, that wasn't a fauz pas.

What would you call it then? Personally, I think it was more than a faux pas though I never thought it grounds for impeachment. That seemed a bit extreme.
I don't think Hilary agreed to part of her marriage.

Yeah, I never thought it was grounds for impeachment, either. No, I would call this a consciously made bad judgement. A faux pas is one of those Oops! kind of things usually happening just because someone was not aware of all the rules of etiquette.

I meant to say this part of her marriage.. :P

WHAT!!! So you don't think he was aware of the rules of etiquette that one does not disrespect the Oval Office? After all it is called the OVAL OFFICE, not the oral office!

Let's face it: it was sheer kinkiness on the Republicans' part. :cool2:

So would you support the firing of any CEO that did a similar thing? It's not the same as the White House but not everyone gets to be a CEO of a major corporation like GE.
