I mentioned that in other post above and few posts after that, many of them on listed aren't fact.

Those problems you listed in that post are NOT in the actual documents. The newspaper article lied. I'm asking you to read through the documents and tell me the parts you don't like and explain why.

I want to be fact, center and neutral, no bias or backing by political parties.
Here's an example. One reason the Republican party was formed was to oppose slavery. Democrats will not like that fact but Republicans will. Should we teach it?

I found your document so I found two things that I don't agree.

describe how McCarthyism, the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), the arms race, and the space race increased Cold War tensions and how the later release of the Venona Papers confirmed suspicions of communist infiltration in U.S. government;

analyze the human and physical factors that influence the power to control territory, create conflict/war, and impact international political relations such as the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), or the control of resources.

On 1st quote, I know about Cold War is fact but I don't think about McCarthy is one of biggest influence in the US during Cold War.

On 2nd quote, they don't give a enough detail about situation with UN, EU and other organizations.

I guess if it is very important but I never learned about Republican Party is anti-slavery at high school but just Abraham Lincoln is anti-slavery and doesn't learn about Republican Party is anti-slavery until started in 12th grade and learn on my own by research about Civil War over internet.

And you honestly believe that if something is not stated explicitly, there are no consequences that can be extrapolated?

Without curricululum standards, there is nothing to teach and nothing to test.

You are heavily involved in education, are you?

You are ... you drug kids into submission ..... ADD/ADHD profiteer ;)

They gave him an -ism

On 2nd quote, they don't give a enough detail about situation with UN, EU and other organizations.

How do you know they wont give enough detail??? They are actually seeking to give MORE detail than before.

That's what I'm looking for. Thank you.

I have to disagree with you there. I think McCarthy was significant enough to be mentioned in a section about the Cold War. The term "McCarthyism" is so common these days that students should at least know where it comes from.

On 2nd quote, they don't give a enough detail about situation with UN, EU and other organizations.
The purpose of the document isn't to give a lot of details. The purpose is just to say what topics should be taught.

OK, that's good. There are some facts that make the left look better and some facts that make the right look better. I still think they should be taught without spin.

So how about a yes or no Jillio????? It's a pretty simple question.

Reading the links.....I didn't see you quoted. :)

During Cold War, McCarthy is one of them but JFK, LBJ and Reagan admin era so I don't think about McCarthy is one of biggest role on Cold War so there is some people are too, not just about him.

Does concept of socialism should be taught at school? I don't learn about true socialism until became adult and my 7th grade teacher said communist has negative about anything like no freedom; and one of my student questioned about socialism so she said socialism is bad as communist. I was brainwashed by her and praised about free market until I started research about socialism so I understand but more complicated to explain.

I'm concerned about some teachers would going say negative or non-fact about UN, EU and other organizations due lacks of detail. I'm just want know about define of them that based on fact and I do know some teachers are brainwash their children.

She enjoys explaining to you how superior her intellect is

if you don't believe she is smart, just ask her if she is ...

McCarthyism is serious enough for people of your mom's generation to fear what was going on among free-thinkers.

Ever remember seeing a kid where his parent tried to take him to the dentist to have his wisdom tooth extracted and how he flailed his arms, screamed at the top of his lungs, dragged his feet, resisted the pull of his mother, spat at her, tried to bite her hands and such? Good luck.

I'm afraid your intellect leaves something to be desired.

I believe Tousi mentioned the control issues a while back. Be careful though. We wouldn't want anyone to have some kind of unstable fit.

I think socialism should be taught- the definition, the variations, the times and places it's been tried, and the results in those places. I think we should teach about the horrible conditions and human rights abuses in communist countries like the Soviet Union, North Korea, and China. I don't think teachers should be making blanket statements like socialism is just as bad as communism because there are various types of socialism so there are various results.

I don't think non-facts should be taught, but I'm fine with negative facts and positive facts being taught.
