Maybe a little more subtleness would work. Not flat out verbatim from the scriptures, but in subtle messages and examples. If they were interested they would perhaps inquire further and then the discussion could be taken privately.

The older testament was always written ultimately and strikingly similar to the form of a picture anyway, it shouldn't be that bad.

In a previous thread that was locked, for example, other posters requested the specific Bible passages that supported my comment.

Can't win. If I comply with the request, the thread gets locked. When I don't comply with the request, I'm accused of avoiding the question.

But that's my point. If topics are being discussed, any topic, from a logical standpoint, things don't get out of hand. It is when someone decides to take something said in logic as a personal insult that the emotion gets out of hand.

No, you are not responsible for other's emotional reactions. Nor is anyone else. Perhaps it is not your responses that lead to the closing of threads, but the responses of those that are emotional in tone.

but Alabama has state exam that students are require to pass to obtain HS degree and they must know about American Civil War that based on fact, if it is otherwise so they could fail the state exam and put teacher in judgment about what kind of thing that they are teaching.

Same in alaska !
