This was an adult, a 31yo, in student housing with teens. She committed felonies and put the lives of others in danger. That is why it is a big deal.

Teens? The article doesn't say if she is housed in but based on her age/grade, she is resident at Carlin (very likely), Clerc or Peet, so all of them are housed for students who are over 21 years old, so Carlin housed many older students (over 30-40), especially graduate students.

Only one dorm for underage students - Benson, that it.

So do you think there is nothing wrong with dealing drugs? People can and have been killed when pot deals go bad. Doesn't matter if they are 30 years old. That is someones child at risk with each deal. She is lucky that all someone did was "snitched" on her. That person may have saved her life. But no one thinks of it that way.

Exactly. That school is surrounded by dealers. If one of them found out about 2lbs of pot in a dorm room there is no telling what might have happened. Drug deals go bad all the time.

Heck, with those low lifes hanging around the campus, just having $1,500 on cash would be reason enough for some of them.

I can't believe a 31yo was even in the dorms....that is strange to me. Mine were out of the dorms after their freshman year.

Sig. is the direction on how to take it and how many times a day.
DEA Diversion Control - Pharmacist's Manual

I read it. Thank you very much for the link. Definitely a lot of information there.

I also read where it said that a schedule II qualifies for a 90 day prescription. How many individual pills could that possibly be?

Let's call them hydrocodone to keep it simple. (if hydrocodone is not a schedule II, roll with it anyway or name a schedule two of your liking).

Honestly? I always thought it was 30 tablets at a time. That's what I've always gotten coming out from surgeries and painful ER visits. I'm just curious as to what the true minimums are.

The amount that you got is what the Dr felt you needed at the time.

As for a 90 day supply of Sched 2. No pharmacy will dispense that many at once. However, Dr's are known to write 3 separate prescriptions for the same drug dating them to be filled on Jan 1st Feb 1st March 1st.... But pharmacies will only fill one at a time.
Schedule 3-4 are 30 day supply at a time up to 5 refills within 6 months.

weird. not sure how you missed the part where I've been stating I'm against drug war and I'm for legalizing marijuana since Day 1 or 2 in AD. :hmm:

i ddnt go wayyy back that far, sorry my fault i just assumed.anyway have you tried weed? at all?

I've never gotton a "30 day supply" of pain pills....only 25-30..taken every 4 to 6 hours for pain "when needed"....And feel if someone gets a 30 day supply of pain pills then they must have a severe illness or injury to warrant that. Pain Meds are highy abused by many people, and addiction to pain meds is pretty awful!....

I know of this woman that was addicted to Loratabs...ate them like candy!...She got Pregnant....and not telling the doctor that she was taking them....When the Doctor did find out, she had to remain on them because of the baby being addicted also....and the baby was born with a lot of health issues...and I've seen "crack addicted babies" in the Prenatal ICU Unit....such a horrible sight!...One that you will never forget....

Are there teens on campus?

There were fewer teens (16-17) at Gallaudet side, usually during fall semester when student turns 18th birthday.

MSSD and KDES are in same campus but students aren't allowed to cross the Gallaudet side without adult staffs.

I believe that is actually part of the law. Doctors can only prescribe drugs for the reasonable healing timeframe. I could be wrong. How they determine that timeframe. :dunno:

Where did you found about what I say in exact name? I don't make statement like that.

You are wise enough to stay out of the debates most of the time, that is why you missed it.

But yeah, Jiro has been consistent in the "Legalize, tax, end drug war" stance for years.

That's not unusual for Gallaudet so many older students live in dorm.

18 and 19 are still teens. But that answers my question. Yes there are teens on campus, so yes there were teen in potential danger. Thanks :thumb:

Tx exactly! and a pharmacist reserve the right to refuse a prescription if he/she feels that the prescription does not meet the diagnosis.

18 and 19 are adult age, by DC law.

Really? Mmm Okaayy....... But.....I was referring to your previous post about no teens in dorms. I was stating that it does not matter what age they are... it is still wrong.

Just a personal experience as strange as it may be to you... I was 28 when I became a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Houston. I lived in Cougar Place which is the "football players" or "athletic players" dorms as all rooms are private. The older students like me also lived there. We were exempt from living in the dorms and fraternity houses. I know I was older than most but it was really diverse. I could have moved in with them but I was far more comfortable being in the private room.

College. What a ride. FTW!

I have been there. Those are pretty nice too.

Yet still teens. "Teen" has nothing to do with legal age.

Eighteen ......Nineteen

I'm focus on legal age, so 18 and 19 are adult age, regardless on word call "teen".

If she sold the drug to 16 years old MSSD student, will charged with sell to minor - more serious crime, but for sold to 18 years old Gally student will treated as sold to adult - just standard punishment.

Without her, there are some students are drug dealers and the MPD crackdown was very rare, unusual because DPS usually crack it down and send to code of conduct office, so sell the drugs - suspension or expulsion, that it, no warning.

I don't believe anyone has said 18 and 19yos are not adults. I am not sure why you are bringing that up.

Now this part is very interesting. Are you sure about this? Not trying to be rude. Just curious.
