There is a presumed idea that cons will try to escape if given the oppurtunity. hence the wal. razor wire, towers, armed screws, cameras, cells, so on. So forth ad nuseum. Cons attempting to escape or even wishing to is not that hard to grasp. as for the murders...look one was a cop, and that fate was part of the acceoted risks when he signed the dotted line..the other was a boss..and yeah that sucked.for him sure...no doubt.

Part of the duty of biing a cop, is putting your life on the line. And when you fall. You fall in the line of duty.
That is what happened.

if a cop asks citizens for help when a person commits a crime and gets away.. we will do our best to help the cops to apprehend the suspect as soon as possible by keeping an eye out. so no we're not gonna mind our business. we're looking for each other's back so that everybody especially cops and innocent people get home safe to their family.

There's no spin. Turning in escaped killers is a positive action. Nothing big brother about that.

The cop and the kidnapped boss didn't deserve to die, and the two murderers had no justification in killing them. None.

I never stated that a nation of rats or tattletales was a good thing. I stated very specifically that those people who turned in the escaped killers did a good thing. That's not ratting or tattling, and it's not a nation of people.

This was not a case of big brother. As you pointed out, it wasn't high tech surveillance equipment or techniques that caught the escapees. It also wasn't "everyone" turning in "anyone." It was a few specific individuals turning in two escaped killers.
