Aside from that, counselors aren't perfect. They're human too.
That might be a little going into the
ad hominem fallacy..
Person A made an opinion.
Person B counters it with something universal that adheres to A's statement but not exactly pertaining.
Person A's opinion is then made false by statement from B.
Might not be the correct way to retort, its better to provide an example directly to back up jillio. If I wanted to give an
ad hominem back to you, I would say something like, "Well, not
all online counselors end up getting banned after their first few notices."
My personal opinion was, the mods stated it over and over and a few times on the topics that got locked, for piping down.
Doesn't apply to mods only, but also our users:
When one gets fed up with people not listening to what another asked politely of, some end up taking matters into their hands themselves. It is natural instinct for them to stand up from their seat to state for what they feel was unfair and/or unjustified.
ASLGAL probably, most simply felt like she was getting attacked for her beliefs from my initial observations. Look at the first response from each unique user and see how it ended up going.
Only way was perhaps the method in which [it] was handled wasn't the right way to do it.
People learn, and move on.
How do you make a petition for Alex?
You could post a topic, and rally your supporters.
Personally, if I didn't get to speak to Alex directly, I would have been permanently banned by now.
