I wondered if asking certain innocent questions would do it, like whether someone felt XYZ about a specific topic related to being deaf (or Deaf)? I'm always trying not to say the wrong thing and suffer the insert-foot-into-mouth disease. :shock:

If you are asking questions. Truly trying to learn. Then it should not be offensive. You are only wanting to know. :)

Really no such thing as a foot in the mouth questions.

I feel the same way when people engage in debates about CIs (particularly when uninformed ADers spread misinformation).

It made me feel better to read the banned people thread as this was a new experience for me.

While in banishment I had a chance to reflect back to the threads that resulted in the banning.
Wow, it went down hill and couldn't have recovered.
The Mods did the only thing they could do.
As I was reading I saw where all of us in the threads that night were perceiving everything as baiting, inflaming, and insulting, even when we were apparently agreeing on a point we were arguing about it and perceiving it as a negative - including me.

Hear Again mentioned that politics and religion are flashpoints. That is certainly true, although I hope the Mods do not get rid of the Politics threads.

As much as we all are different we are the same and want the same things in life.

I also hope the mods don't get rid of the political threads because I really enjoy them.
 
Glad that this thread helps whoever got banned and come here to share their experiences about being banned with us. :D

sorry im not gonna divulge the details, i dont think its my place to

however, if pressed for an explanation on why is this so, basically cyber stalkingits a form of harrassment done via this forum (or any 'public domain' sites. Stalking is a behaviour which stem from a variation of obsession
say i think i said enough i dont want to get banned for spilling out when im not supposed to, just explain very briefly is all

I am not 100% sure if, Jillio will ever come back. I think she got banned more than 3 times. I don't see if, her screen name will show in Members List. :shrug:

I'm disappointed in her. with her background as counselor, she should be able to easily show some restraint especially in debate. she's one ban away from perm-ban. *SMH*

as stated from AD's rule
First offense - Warning
Second offense - 24 hours ban
Third offense - 48 hours ban
Fourth offense - 1 week ban
Fifth offense - 1 month ban
Sixth offense - Permanent ban

Oh, okay -- so THAT 30 days ban is her last straw before permanent.

Anyway, I just want to say to some ADers who return to this AD --- :wave: to ADers who come back! * hey, wanna to dance with me in this AD ? * :giggle: I am just kiddin'! LOL
