FIFY.... Much better now
Actually, you fixed it for you, not for me. I meant exactly what I said.
FIFY.... Much better now
You can't be certain that was all he WASN'T going to do.
You don't try to reason with a robber. You give them the money and they go away. After all, any reasonable business owner is insured against losses coming from a robbery. The money can be replaced. Human life cannot.
Funny. I just clicked on it in my post and it worked just fine.
Then go to st.nj.us. Easy to find. Better yet, just google NJ self defense laws. That's where I got it.
Now, take the time to read the law and come back a bit more informed.
Here's a little text to get you started:
Use of Force in Self-Protection. a. Use of force
42 justifiable for protection of the person. Subject to the provisions of
43 this section and of section 2C:3-9, the use of force upon or toward
44 another person is justifiable when the actor reasonably believes that
45 such force is immediately necessary for the purpose of protecting
FIFY.... Much better now
yes. I have a law book regarding NJ Gun Laws on my hand written by renowned NJ lawyer who specializes in this case. It's actually very restrictive.
Trolling again?
Pfft. Disagreeing. It is a debate thraed dontchakno
It is not illegal to defend yourself in New Jersey, including the use of deadly force. So once again, you made a false statement when you said it was illegal to defend yourself in NJ.
Please answer my question -
Can I do that at parking lot? or in my car?
Check again. It is a current events thread. Can't you guys get anything right tonight?
I think my work here is done.
This section has always been approved for debate as opposed to say....general chat. Thus a debate thread.
If it's not , Boy have you been out of line.
If you believe that you are in a situation of immediate danger, yes, Read the law, Jiro. And just admit it. You made a false statement. In effect, you jumped the gun, and that kind of reaction in a person who wants to walk around with a gun is a little suspect.
really?
did you know that it's illegal to bring a gun OUTSIDE your house for ANY reason except to go to shooting range? so how is it legal for me to defend myself with a gun at parking lot or in my car when it is in fact illegal to bring a gun out of my house?
so with that - it's illegal for me to defend myself.
Jiro, I posted a link to the law for you. It says that deadly force is not illegal. Stop trying to backpedal. Just read the danged law.
Please answer my question - is it illegal for me to take gun outside my home and carry it on myself at parking lot?
NUMBER 1 motion for understanding a case in criminal justice law is the appearance of a gun in any situation. The law equates to a drawn gun (does not matter if it is a criminal, civilian, or LEO) to the use of a deadly force.
It does not matter if they are aiming for the ground, looking like they are going to rob a quickie mart, or wherever. It's the same justification for being able to fire back from police or trained CCW civilians.
* Although there are exceptions to the rule, where a LEO CAN make a decision to use or not use their weapon.
I already answered it. And if you would bother to use the link you keep whining about wanting, you could read it in the law, too.
That's why we have LEO's. They are trained to make those decisions, and d so often. Citizens aren't and don't.
it's illegal.
do you dispute that?
