I thought I already cleared that up. I am waiting on an answer from Jiro on why he persistently accuses me of saying things I have never said, so in the meantime, I will try and clear this up.

Curtis Reeves is a qualified retired police officer in accordance with HR 218. He is also a qualified United States citizen, and has the individual right to carry a firearm http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/29/us/29scotus.html?_r=0 . He is also a Florida State resident and signs prohibiting firearms in private businesses hold no legal weight in the State of Florida.

However, since you made the claim that Curtis Reeves was in violation of the law, please show me the Florida State statute that he was violating. Thank you, I would greatly appreciate that.

I have seen ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in there that supports your claim. Can you point out EXACTLY where did it say that signs hold no legal weight?

In bold, you are grossly misinterpret my statement - I'm saying that Curtis broke movie theater's policy by carrying firearm into movie theater. I don't say anything about law and I'm surprised that you misinterpreted my statement - that's not new for me.

I took my original quote.
The movie theater doesn't allow any weapons, including firearm, so Curtis broke the rule.

You should respect business owners that doesn't allow anyone to carry gun in their properties, it is part of manner.

I googled "no legal weight" over varies about businesses and guns, so I couldn't find any information that you made statement. I believe that you made up about those terms, also do you have any source to support your claim about "no legal weight" in Florida?

I never stated that Jiro. you are again, putting words in my mouth that I never said, or implied.

why do you feel the need to do this? Elevate your argument by lying?
I feel it is my duty to wake you up.

What I said was, two guys got into an argument and could not walk away from it. I also added some friendly advice about walking away from an argument with an elder - there was no implication that one should walk away from a person with a CCW, so how did you come to that conclusion?
nope that's not what you said at all. nope nope nope not at all. oh dear oh dear. back to step 1 again...

you and I both know that Stein has a flagrant history of misreading and misunderstanding the laws and suiting it to however he sees it as fit.

you know what's it called? disillusion.

Yes, it made our debate more harder and he will never understand about how clear is law, even if it is easy to read and better understand. I tried to restatement in different styles to see if he could understand better, but none of my technique works for him, especially in civil rights case.

I learned a new word - disillusion and yes, the definition does perfectly fit to him.

The disillusion is risky and dangerous - he could end up getting arrested or involve in life or death situation. It is important for him to understand about laws but it is his ultimate choice when come to his life.

Killer in Florida movie theater says he acted 'in fear' - Orlando Sentinel
Oulson was using a cellphone to text-message or make a mobile video call to a daycare center or babysitter looking after his 3-year-old daughter, authorities said.

According to an arrest affidavit released by the sheriff's office, Reeves said he brandished and fired his .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun after Oulson stood up and struck him in the face with an unknown object.

Oulson's wife, Nicole, was wounded in the hand by the same gunshot that hit her husband in the chest, police said.

Although the affidavit quotes Reeves as saying he was "in fear of being attacked" when he fired his gun, witnesses said Oulson had only thrown a bag of popcorn at him.

Lawyers for Reeves could not be reached for immediate comment, and it was not clear whether he would seek immunity from prosecution under Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

"We did not determine that Stand Your Ground could be a justifiable reason why he shot the victim," he added. "A Stand Your Ground case does not fly here in this case."

looks like I'll have to pack a heat and wear a bullet vest if I visit Florida again because you never know if you'll encounter a trigger-happy delusional lunatic with SYG excuse.

Oh everyone tries that SYG excuse... Just like how everyone loves to try and plea insanity... I absolutely support the 2nd amendment.... But this stuff is getting a little out of hand these days... :ugh:

this just reminds me to check my CCW permits.... one of them is expiring soon so I just sent in a request for renewal package....

And your qualifications to make that judgement are ..... ?

Ex navy SEAL?
FBI?
CIA?
Secret Service?
Attorney?

Alldeaf forum couch referee?

district attorney, sheriff, investigating officers, and court agree with my statement.

I think I have another year left on mine, but that's definitely something I don't want slipping from my mind with all these crazies out and about. :ugh:

This wasn't the first blow-up for Florida theater shooter - CNN.com
(CNN) -- A few weeks before a texting dispute turned deadly inside a Florida theater, the suspect Curtis Reeves had another run-in with a moviegoer, prosecutors said.
During Reeves' first court appearance on Tuesday, prosecutors said they have heard from another theater patron who said the 71-year-old former Tampa cop saw her texting and "glared at her the entire time throughout the movie" during a screening about three weeks ago.

When the woman got up to use the restroom, Reeves followed her and "made her very uncomfortable," prosecutors said.

"He became just upset about the whole situation and kept staring and kept giving us dirty looks," Dixon told the station.

I have seen ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in there that supports your claim. Can you point out EXACTLY where did it say that signs hold no legal weight?

I have already asked Foxrac to provide the information (Florida Statute) that says signs hold legal weight.

BTW, when are you going to answer my question in regards to how you keep lying about things I am saying? I'd really like to know why you feel compelled to do that?

(here is a big hint: they don't)

In other words, you are not a district attorney, sheriff, investigating officer, or work for a court?

Is the trial over? What is the verdict?

See ... I, on one hand, am reserving judgment while you have rushed to it.

I've already answered that question on numbers of occasions.

see Post #195.

see Post #195.

That still did not answer my question about you lying .... still waiting ...

and ... while you are at it, please find the Florida Statute that clearly states a sign prohibiting weapons on private property is enforceable by law.

I read it somewhere that he got up and people thought he was coming back with the manger ,so I would think he when outside to get his gun or he went into a bathroom to load his gun . I can't think of any other reason as to as why the cop got and left the room then came back in . I could be wrong about this. But I this he got up , he could had taken another seat but that is not want happen . I guess we'll have to see if any more details are on the news.
I read that he went out to get a manager or usher to help him with the texting complaint. Don't know for sure.

If he was carrying a concealed gun it was most likely already loaded. People don't usually carry unloaded guns.
