For what?USPS does receive some taxpayers' money.
For what?
And you would be right. USPS gets taxpayers money through the sale of service and produces.
The government no longer directly supports the USPS. But indirectly it does, through
givenmoney to folks whom have not earn that money and they, in turn, make purchases from USPS. However, that is true for Wal-Mart, McD, etc.Code:
The difference is the government can not "raid" the funds of profit nor pensions of Wal-Mart, McD, etc. while for years Congress has "raided" from the pension plan of the USPS workers.
Nope, Oct 31, 2009.
Hardly. He worked a few months during Obama's administration out of many years of USPS service. Rolling7's pension is essentially based on his decades of service prior to Obama.hence.... biting the hand that feeds you
Wal-Mart? McD? yea their pensions were raided by the riches. Bernie Madoff anybody? And you would be right. USPS gets taxpayers money through the sale of service and produces.

Exactly.... Besides even if one considered USPS to be a government agency it is hardly hypocritical to work for USPS and complain about other depts of Government.
None of your links/comments answer my question. The taxpayers pay USPS for what?Post #208
recall USPS crisis? it's still on-going
I hope it doesn't come to the point where we taxpayers will have to foot a bill to pay for rolling's retirement fund.

It won't... The USPS just needs good leadership. There are alot of ways USPS can save money.
USPS will close some plants down (transfer employees to other plants) and reduce workforce including management by offering voluntarily early retirement (no lay-off due to union contract) to save money. What happen if USPS is failing and your methods don't work?

USPS will not fail. Nationally, it still delivers magazines to millions of subscribers. Millions of the customers mail parcels via USPS daily. Alot of them still pay their bills by mail because they don't trust internet or don't have internet. Political mails and so on.
Hmmm...not surprised at all.
....nearly 75% of Obamacare costs will fall on the backs of those Americans making less than $120,000 a year.
WSJ Chief Economist: 75% of Obamacare Costs Will Fall on Backs of Those Making Less Than $120K a Year | Conservative News, Views & Books
And Obama promised that no tax increase on those making $200,000 a year or less. O-care is the biggest ever tax punch on the middle class.
If Congress kills the union contract, all of you will get no mails for days and days or weeks and weeks. That's not what Congress wants.Yup, I think the congress has authority to kill the union contract whatever they want, especially if USPS seeking emergency assistance to deal with crisis.
Yup and the absentee ballots are done by USPS too.
