I don't really understand why you're being so defensive about being labeled as liberal. it's not as bad as being labeled as conservative. You being defensive about being labeled as one because of the stereotypical view attached to it is what Karissa's post clearly pointed out.

My view is usually half liberal, half conservative.... hence a Centrist... Some has labeled me as a moderate liberal - a very similar stance as JFK and that's fine with me.

if one has to repeatedly explains one's view for others, it's because one is in self-denial. One's view is determined by others, not oneself. Just something for you to think about...

I don't even need to explain my view for others because my stance is very crystal-clear.

No one determines my view. I'm able to think for myself and conduct my own research on both sides of the issue in order to make an informed decision.
