it is in your control. that's what the ignore list is for.

and it's in your control to use the ignore list too. I see that you tell others that they're on your ignore list but they're not.

mental illness does specifically relate to the deaf.

yes but you don't see we use PTSD/Abuse/Bipolar/etc. all the time, right? it's mostly deaf this, deaf that... i mean after all - this is AllDEAF forum.

Sweetheart, the PTSD/bipolar and abuse threads are taking over the farkin' forum!!

Where's the other threads?! Oh yes, you guys are taking it over by making new threads talking about mental health & driving members away because we feel so awkward & uncomfortable!

You have the gall to accuse us of double-standards when you do the same thing with other members.

Now you see what the problem is? You enable yourself when you shouldn't.

first of all, don't tell me what my motives are, mrs bucket.

we're taking over ad? okay. if you say so. :laugh2:

if you feel awkward when reading our posts, use your ignore list and don't read them.

ptsd/abuse/bipolar affect the deaf community, so it's still considered on topic for alldeaf.

I don't use my ignore list at all. What's the point in using the ignore list?

This forum is a not the appropriate way to receive counseling or ask for medical information which I've seen too many times.

ah, i see what you mean.

but the problem is that ALMOST all the threads have already mentioned about the mental health. where can she fits her post in? so she had to throw her post one of those nonrelated mental threads that ALREADY included mental health. so i dont blame her for saying it. i rather anyone to be themselve than suppress our emotions inside as hypericate.

if alldeaf isn't designed to be a place where people ask for medical information, why do we have a health forum in the first place?

those of us who choose to discuss mental health topics are being ourselves and are not being hypocrites. ad'ers who expect us not to post are the ones who are being hypocritical due to the fact that they are trying to censor what we write.

but that's not right thing to say. It's like walking into a hot club/bar known for heterosexual gathering and then several regular patrons (who are gay people) came in and start going "OMGWTF! THAT'S OFFENSIVE! U DUNNO WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE GAY SO STFU!!" because heterosexual people use a lot of gay remarks such as "that's soooo gay", "he's such a faggot!", etc etc.

Now the club/bar's no longer "hot" because it's being hijacked by a few overly-sensitive gay people and now all people have to watch their language.

HOW DULL IS THAT!!!! :mad2:

Health forum way back in Frisky Feline and my time with the old AD version, members only asked for tips to lose weight & tips on cooking and that was it.

Everything was great in the old version because everyone followed the "STFU/Thick skin" motto.

No one was being "EMO".

because it's for people who are trying to lose weight! :giggle:

the solution is quite simple. if you don't like it, stay out of the club/bar.

EXACTY!!!!! We can post to share our health issues under health sub-forum if we want to talk about health issues, not jokes, debate or culture sub-forum.

welcome to the "new and improved" alldeaf, mrs bucket. you can't live in the past. the old ad is no more. times change. deal with it.

but that's against the law..... called Discrimination Act. We cannot tell gay people to leave just because they're gay. So there's a choice for gay people - either STFU & leave (which we cannot tell them to leave but hope that they can take a hint) or they can grow a thick skin and handle the gay jokes thrown around by heterosexuals.
