i have a thick skin jiro, but making fun of ptsd or mental illness is NOT funny and something i don't need to tolerate.

understandable. that's why we have freedom of choices in America. I believe you have 3 American choices -

1. put us on ignore list
2. STFU & go to other forum specifically for that
3. Grow a thick skin cuz it's tiresome to be so serious all the time in real life

You are going to HAVE to tolerate it.

How do you think you are able to go to an AADB conference if you are not able to tolerate people mocking you? Are you going to hide in the hotel room if you see some people mock you or are you going to ignore that person?

I tolerate and I ignore the general public's ignorance when it comes to blindness.

i've already executed step #1.

as for step #2, i have the right to post and/or read any thread i choose.

as for step #3, i developed a thick allegator skin a long time ago after i lost my hearing. what others say about or towards me doesn't phase me in the least. :cool2:

what the heck does an aadb conference have to do with anything and why do you ALWAYS bring deafblindness into the picture? there is more to life than being deafblind -- or at least there is to me.

if you ignore those who display ignorance, good for you. sometimes i can't do that because of my rapid cycling.

yes Bucket does talk about DB many times... but in a humorous/naughty way! remember her 52" white cane? c'mon.. it was funny! and it's still funny. If Bucket was using DB in "emo-like atittude all the time... Jolie would be posting same post from this thread and I would be preaching the STFU/Thick Skin as well.
