I still don't understand. Why can't you pull off the road to text your family or to punch in your GPS info?

It's not worth to pull off the road because of waste my time.

It's my responsibility to take care of it during driving and it's not your business about use cell phone.

No, it´s not just autobahn but all autobahn, countryside road, road traffic or whatever are still involve in accident due person´s lack of common sense... Don´t blame roads/autobahn but the drivers itself.

Exactly. It is the German attitude of not doing those things that could cause danger to others....such as talking on a cell phone, trying to eat a meal, read a map, read a newspaper, or any of the other things that Americans tend to do while driving.

due to awareness program and stringent driver ed... which can contribute to shaping the cultural phenomenon :)

So your time is more important than another person's life?

Yup, you have no idea about how is my experience of driving.

Go re-read my post because you still don't get it, I'm always pay attention to road and use cell phone is very small percent.

I got offended from you for being dictate about my driving experience.

Thanks to god, it doesn't happen in anytime.

Depending on the offense the individual committed. All have specific crieria.
An officer does not know they are pulling someone over for DWI at first either. They pull them over because they are driving erratically. Only one the officer has made the stop can he determine the reason for the erratic driving and issue citations based on such.

Again, that is only common sense. Some appear not to have it.

DWI is IDENTIFIABLE problem - alcoholic breath, slurred speech, and several other tests

DWT is UNIDENTIFIABLE problem - .........?

No, due to cultural attitudes of the society at large. Awareness programs are only effective if the society is of a nature to accept it. Look around the thread. There are posters who are aware that texting while driving is dangerous. They just choose to do it anyway, because their immediate needs are the only thing they think of. Awareness does not stop people of this mind set.

Use cellphone and DUI are just like apple to orange, you can't compare with DUI and cellphone.

DUI does give a serious danger, such as lose the control and get in wrong way but cell phone does get away from attention and any chance to involve in accident, both don't compare.

Please re-read my 1st post.

The law treat cell phone use while driving and DUI as equal when car accident involvement comes.

The fact is about car accidents due cell phone use while driving and drink alochol. I consider both cell phone use while driving and alochol driving are the same because they are dangerous. It kill victims due driver´s lack of common sense.

Accord the statistic, there´re more cell phone car accidents to compare with DUI. I consider them the same...

It is not unidentifiable at all.

right.... you just basically support my point.

 I do not see anything that I support your point. Your post is just autobahn. I correct you that it´s not just autobahn.

It is said that the best way to repeal a bad law is to enforce it strictly. Oftentimes I fight the urge to run the texter off the road and make a citizen's arrest. *rubbing hands in anticipation of new law*

DUI and cell phone still don't compare because both of them has different way to cause any seriousness in accident.

That's your opinion then I have agree to disagree with you, sorry.

Absolutely WRONG. None of the statistics back your statement. NOT ONE.

DUI > DWT and that's the FACT.

It doesn't matter how long you have been driving or how much experience you have, a collision can happen. It only takes 3 seconds of being distracted before a collision occurs.

And I find it sad that you would consider 5 minutes of your time more important than a life.

 I do not see anything that I support your point. Your post is just autobahn. I correct you that it´s not just autobahn.

the driving style is based on paying attention on road partially because of autobahn,

and where did I exactly say JUST? You misunderstood my post but that's ok. Not a big deal.

so.... link? I guess you have books for pretty much everything, right? I'm guessing you live at Library of Congress?

At least I take advantage of the information available.:cool2:

I feel bad for you because you don't have any rights to dictate my life.

It's my responsibility to take care of driving and don't ask any stupid question about my driving.

Everyone has different opinion and you can't call us an sad or disgusted because we have agree to disagree.

so with those wealth of information you have, any suggestion for this issue beside the law?
