I'd have to agree with Reba. Celebrities wear expensive clothes all the time, does this mean they "mock" middle class? Of course not. I don't think this should be the focus of the election. Nor let it form a basis of judgment towards the candidates.

HOWEVER, judging how McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden are, I can't say I'm surprised by the vast difference in clothes spending.

Good point, I agree.

Despite all the cash spent on her duds, she STILL looks like a mousy librarian.

"I'd like like to check out War and Peace, please."

good one.... good one.... +10

I wouldn't apply "mousy" to her, Tina Fey, yes....

As Obama once said, "putting lipsticks on a pig."

Meaning, McCain is trying to use Bush's policies again, so he is using Palin as a pretty idol for everyone to look at and feel inspired and such.

She's still the "pig with lipsticks" and 150k wardrobe.

The GOP can spend their money on whatever they want. The only complaint I have about their funding is the spammy mail I keep getting about how Obama sucks, etc.

I'd have to say 150k is a lot for someone's wardrobe, though.

Spam it. And thou shalt never receive such things.

I thought the furor over Palin's wardrobe was not really due to the cost, but how it was paid for.

The pig with lipsticks.

What one does with their money is their business, not ours. Even if it means spending $ 300,000 on a dress. :)

Not when the RNC spends $150K that could be better spent on other things -- such as helping McCain win the election. :D
