so this gives armed citizen a right to confront any stranger? and then conveniently claim it as self-defense if confrontation turned into violence?
that would imply Zimmerman was an aggressor, terrifying him with a display of his gun... thus prompting Trayvon to fight him in self-defense as part of "fight or flight" response.
I believe that she was lying because Trayvon was her boyfriend.
For example, if Trayvon told her that he's coming to confront that guy and beat him up, would she tell the public about that? Fucking no! It's possible that she covered it up because he was her bf.
does this have any bearing in this case? or is it simply part of character assassination?
Our neighborhood watch is allowed to ask questions if they see someone or something unusual. *shrug*
It'd be pretty surreal in a neighborhood watch if people won't approach what they see as strangers to them in their own neighborhood to check them out. Be pretty silly to call the cops every single time they spot a stranger in the street.
I'm gonna wait and let the investigators do their job and not make unnecessary assumptions.
So......you see the word verified there do ya?![]()

Whatever his complaint, George Zimmerman seemed quick to call the police. Over the course of nearly eight years, Zimmerman made at least 46 911 and non-emergency calls (PDF) to the police department in Sanford, Florida, culminating in the two fateful calls he made Feb. 26, shortly before he confronted and then fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Taken together, the police log of Zimmerman’s calls paint a picture of an extremely vigilant neighbor. The police department has released audio recordings from six of the most recent calls, but the audio of calls older than six months is destroyed, according to the Seminole County sheriff’s office.
Yep, calls would start taking a lower priority if you did.
See and that is likely too. Judging from from a lot of posts on his FB many of his friends knew that Trayvon had fought the guy before any details were released by police. We may never know the truth.
Zimmerman was essentially stalking Martin. If Martin did in fact beat the guy up, it would seem it was he (Martin) who was acting in self defense. Not the other way around.
Martin came at him (maybe) with a bag of skittles to defend himself- Zimmerman brought a gun.
I'm all for letting the justice system run its course, but I have to say that (in my opinion) it seems Zimmerman let his prejudice and preconceived notions cloud his judgement that day.
But Tutko said the NSA discourages the carrying of weapons “to the point of saying you just can’t do it.”
“This is an example of what can happen if you don’t continually tell the neighborhood watch ‘no altercations,’” Tutko said, adding that it isn’t the job of volunteers to stop crimes. “You make your phone call and then you make the best decisions you can.”

Armed people can't ask questions?that's fine.... as long as you're not armed.
Poly results aren't usually allowed in court. They're a great investigation tool but they're not evidence that can be used in court.since the lawyer was very confident that her testimony would blow Zimmerman's defense outta window.... sounds like they've got a proof... or that she will or has passed polygraph test
