Yesterday, news broke that the National Security Agency has been using a program called PRISM to collect metadata on calls made on Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint in the U.S. The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) has already come out to comment on the report, but now we have word from President Obama himself, who says that "Nobody is listening to your telephone calls".

blah, go ahead spying on my sprint carrier but, I have no voice data plan. They are wasting time with wiretapping or illegal eavedropping at Sprint Relay Data only. I'm not hiding nothing. pssh!

Oh wow, Apple could get in trouble with shareholders?

I know some customers may no longer fan of Apple after they find out and perjury will make more uglier.

I don't want government to watch me about what I'm doing or share my info.

You should care because men fought and died to protect your rights. This is a clear violation of 4th amendment rights. To put this in perspective, combine this with what the IRS has done. People who had done nothing wrong....just like you....were harassed by the IRS. Now combine it with the AP/Rosen/DOJ scandal....again those people did nothing wrong....just like you...but they were harassed. The metadata gives them enough information for them to harass anyone government disagrees with whether that person did anything wrong or not.

That was Joro's point. You don't have to do anything wrong for this to negatively affect your life.

At some point you will. The question is how many rights will you loose before then and will it be to late. The line in the sand is the constitution, once thats past there is nothing else.

I am just diesel technician and why would I worry about it? That's all they read my info like order tons parts, meet me at Starbucks, surf news, online, etc. Just don't be stupid do anything like crime.
