doctors cannot ask about guns

It has nothing to do with states being different, trust me.

Tell me, Jiro...how many doctors have ever asked you if you own a gun?

none because this is a state where gun ownership is almost unheard of. Funny question!

ah... avoiding my question... Let's try to answer my question, shall we? It's quite simple.

Trying again - Do you believe that we law-abiding citizens should have unfettered rights to Amendment 2?

No. Because unfettered means that it would apply to ALL. Criminal and non-criminal alike. And even if it just applied to those who do not have a criminal history...which, BTW, is no indication of criminal intent or action...my answer is no.

Now, you answer the numerous questions I have asked you that you have conveniently ignored.

No, because you don't go to a pediatrician because you don't have children. Pediatricians are the doctors being targeted here. Again, read the article.

Yeah. The reason is the doctor doesn't like guns.

:laugh2:

Yeah, and the NRA says that pediatricians are asking about gun safety issues because they don't like guns, not because they have a concern about the tremendous number of children that are injured or killed every year by the unsecured gun of a family member.:laugh2:

I was a kid once, ya know? Pediatricians have never asked my parents if they owned a gun... because, again, this is a state where gun ownership is unheard of. In fact - many of my friends were surprised that I owned guns because they thought it was banned or extremely difficult. :dunno:

I see. I must be unedumicated. I was not aware the New Jersey is not a democracy and is in fact a military state.

not military state.... more like Nanny State

after all... this is a state where they don't trust us to fill up our gas tanks

How do you know that for sure? You weren't privy to every conversation your parents had with your pediatrician. And that was several years ago. Concerns for safety have gone up since death rates have risen.

and I have clarified it for you. You don't need to get all dramatic in here.

Now, you answer the numerous questions I have asked you that you have conveniently ignored.
Please do feel free to repost questions that I have missed. Wondering how you come up with me "conveniently ignoring" your questions :dunno:

I'm not like you.... dancing around questions and telling people to go look back and find it yourself.

would you like me to ask my parents? They are here in living room.

How is a pediatrician to dertermine risk unless he asks the question of whether or not there is a gun in the home. Gun presence is the factor that creates the risk and the need to address gun safety issues. So how does risk of wound or death from unsecured guns get determined without asking the question?

would you like me to ask my parents? They are here in living room.

Go ahead. But it really has no bearing on this issue. I bet they didn't get asked if they used a child restraint device either, because if wasn't an issue when you were a kid.

and you are very confused regarding gun law especially in states like NJ and NY.
I don't blame anyone for being confused about the gun laws of NJ and NY.

I remember we didn't even wear seatbelts in '92 or '94.

Right. And people used to drive around with babies on their laps, or crawling around on the back seat. Then we discovered that child restraint devices could and did save lives and serious injury.

Just asked my parents if pediatricians or any doctors have ever asked them about gun possessions. They were .

The look on their faces was priceless :laugh2:

Now ask them about child restraint devices. I'm sure you will get the same response. Which means, it is not relevent to this discussion.

Unfettered gun rights would mean that those actively psychotic and homocidal people would have more firepower than you.
Actively psychotic and homicidal people would have more firepower than sane non-homicidal people? How so?

Yeah, suicidal people. There are ways to assess for suicidal ideation....
If they let you.

If they let you.

Even when they don't.
But how about them gun hating pediatricians?
