Court of public opinion looms large in George Zimmerman murder trial

The prosecutor will do it eventually.

The trial is still beginning and it is long way from being over.

The only foreseeable thing the prosecution has left is forensics and reports there say that forensics are consistent with GZs story. They have already presented witnesses, investigators and the ME and the Defense has won each witness.

The only hope I see (and many experts see) is that the jury will feel sorry for the family and ignore evidence. OR the jury will worry about their names becoming public and being hunted down by gangs if they vote not guilty. Those are really the only 2 hopes.

because Zimmerman had no common sense - he went after suspicious person and got into fatal confrontation.

Lead investigator already testified that this is not illegal. It is not illegal to follow and it is not illegal to approach. That is already testified to.

GZ told the police that while he talked to the dispatcher, TM ran around and disappeared so he was going back to his car to wait for the cops to show up. BUT TM jumped out of the bushes and confronted him. WHY? Because he wanted to beat GZ to death while he didn't know that GZ had a gun on him. Is that GZ's fault? No way!

You entitled your opinion on those case, but trial isn't over yet.

Illegal or not illegal, you are supposed not go after suspicious person, period.

If you did - you risk your life like Zimmerman did.

But.....if it is not illegal, there is no crime. Crimes involve illegal activities.

Your statement doesn't consistent with GZ's story.

Zimmerman believed Martin was suspicious person, so Zimmerman chose to risk his life for deadly consequence.

Zimmerman's case got national attention and it was one of most ugliest, IMO.

Doesn't matter.

No, I watched the video in which he explained to the detectives on the location. It was on CNN TV, Anderson Cooper 360 about two nights ago. It was captioned.

They also played the video in court.

Your story isn't correct - GZ didn't return to truck and TM didn't jump until after exchange (confrontation).

It does matter right now.

It will never matter. In this case, following wasn't illegal. Unless they find a miracle witness that says GZ was someone that secretly hunted and attacked people....this will not matter.

From the same link you posted:

Zimmerman told police he was headed back to his truck to meet the police officer that non-emergency dispatch was sending to the area, when he was confronted by Martin. Zimmerman described the altercation as a life-and-death struggle that was sparked by the teenager jumping out from behind the bushes. Zimmerman said Martin jumped out and asked him if he had a problem, he said no, and then Martin said, “You got a problem now.” Zimmerman said Martin then punched him in the nose, which caused him to fall to the ground. "He grabbed my head and started hitting it into the sidewalk," he said. "When he started doing that, I slid into the grass to try to get out from under him ... I'm still yelling for help."

Not really, it is still matter if you go after suspicious person and it is dangerous to do it.

If I spot a suspicious person so no way for me to risk my life by go after them like Zimmerman did.

There were several suspicious activities in DC but I didn't bother to go after them or call police because too much hassle with DC police, also call on relay was too difficult while on street to Gally. I hopefully someone reported it.
