Give me break this is nation diaster.
Finally, something we can agree on!
The decision to subject an entire population to poverty, ignorance, injustice and government corruption as a way of life has its ugly moments, as the world is now seeing. New Orleans officials issued an almost cynical evacuation order in a city where they know full well that thousands have no car, no money for airfare or an interstate bus, no credit cards for hotels, and therefore no way to leave town before the deadly storm and flood arrived.
Might I add that nobody forces you into poverty. You either decide to work, or you decide to sit on your ass and suck up the government funds by means of welfare. The choice is in the hands of the individual.
The authorities (again, referring to the local government) provided no transportation out of the danger zone, apparently figuring the neglected thousands would somehow weather the storm in their uninsured, low-lying shacks and public housing projects. The poor were expected to remain invisible at the bottom of the pecking order and somehow weather the storm.
I forgot about RS... you would flip your mind off.. If suppose RS is here and would dare blabbering his breath about BUSH, policties, demorancy, liberal.. blah blah... what his reaction.... ?? LOL
In case you haven’t yet realized, RS is no longer a member of this forum and this discussion has nothing to do with him. You have just managed to take this serious topic into the realm of utter nonsense. If you are so desperate to seek his advice on the issue, please feel free to contact him elsewhere. How about we get back on topic and forget about RS, once and for all?
I guess it would be fair for me to reply that many of the posters who blame Bush for Katrina are "haters of Bush and would do anything to bash him."
TRUE. But, it really doesn’t matter whether you love Bush or hate him. He didn’t cause Katrina and I honestly don’t think any other president, Republican or Democrat, would be able to handle a situation like this any better. I would like to believe that had Clinton been in office when this happened that we would all be able to look past the political agenda and pitch in to help, and I wish that were so now, but we seem hell-bent on placing the blame where it doesn’t belong.
DEAFSCUBA98, I think you hit the nail on the head there.
Simple is put them into jail with full of criminals... They will SUFFER there...
Yeah, only problem is: the jails are 10 ft UNDER WATER.
Really? Have you any link for that because I can't find it in google...
Ask and you shall receive.

funny enough... Bush and his people do SOMETHING real faster after happened with 11/9... but Katrina...
9/11 was centrally located and contained….Katrina wiped out over 90 MILES of populated land. Much more area to cover in less time, and Katrina has done more devastation than 9/11 as well.
Sorry to go off topic here, but Liebling, please do me a favor and next time you go to post would you PLEASE open a word document and c/p any portion of a post you would like to reply to into that document, then freely type your response into that document, then when you have finished reading all the posts, c/p your entire reply into one post. We have already read all these original posts and you just replaying them over and over isn’t accomplishing much but to cause others to skip over anything you have to say, and I honestly think you have something worth sharing, but the means by which you are sharing just annoys the hell out of some of us. Please take note that most of us post once and get everything into one post and then allow others to post before we post again. It just seems more respectful and doesn’t give the appearance of one hogging the entire page.
