accomplishments

My day just started today, so the only accomplishment to report for the day was to get out of bed (with half an hour delay...) :mad2: Now I gotta hurry :giggle:

JamieLynn

PS. Be back l8r for more...

this isn't an accomplishment for today, but rather, monday. i was able to clean my apartment from top to bottom because of an inspection that was scheduled for thursday. as it turned out, my apartment wasn't inspected, but it's still nice to have a tidy environment. it sure does wonders for improving my mood. i'm proud of myself because after being severely depressed and being admitted to the hospital as a result last month, i let everything go for 4 weeks without vacuuming, dusting or removing my mail from the dining room table. now all of my mail is gone, the carpet is vacuumed and my furniture/electronics dusted. :D

Hear Again,

Good for you! I'm glad to hear that your cleaning spree lifted your spirits. Matter of fact, you've motivated me to get my butt in gear!

I don't have a positive for today, but I did take my niece who is married with a young child and a tight budget to a musical last night. I think she enjoyed the night out and the entertainment.

thanks, dorothy! :)

how nice of you to treat your niece to an enjoyable night. :D what musical did you both see?

i wanted to make a slight correction. i went without cleaning for a month and a half between mid december until this past monday. i had ALOT of cleaning to do, but it was worth it in the end! :D

We saw Finian's Rainbow, which was based in the 1940's. Some political incorrectness by today's standards, but the cast apologized ahead of time. I was really excited when I realized that the actress playing the role of Susan, a young woman who is hearing, but non-verbal, actually knew ASL. I was absolutely mesmerized watching her, I must admit to the exclusion of the remainder of the cast when she was on stage. Having just started my second semester of ASL at the local community college, I found her performance, not only beautiful, but also enlightening. It helped to put a lot of the information I have learned in class more in perspective. Anyway, sorry to rattle, I was just so impressed that with local theater, they went the extra mile to authenticate the role by finding someone who knows sign.

interesting! one of these days, i'll have to check that musical out! :)

As I said, you have to be aware of the time-frame and the bigotry that went with them. The cast decided to wear hats to signify black and white, rather than make-up. I thought it a pretty neat idea.

I ... well .. it's to early to say that I've done anything yet XD .... *yawns* I just got up ... does that count?

I confess... that I tearing my house apart looking for my camera charger! It is driving me batty! I have been looking for it since we moved into this house and now I need it!! grrrr

i did some more cleaning today. i vacuumed, dusted and organized my braille computer manuals. it's funny how cleaning becomes easier to do the more you actually do it. :giggle:

I cleaned my living room, shampood the carpets down stairs, folded and put away 6 loads of laundry, shampooed the upstairs hallway and cooked a wonderful dinner for me myself & I to enjoy
