Damn it is 3:43 ET - Tsunami is coming. The impending doom......

The authorities say we should be fine. However, when people keep droning on that the Pacific Northwest is overdue for the "big one" for the last ten years... :giggle:

I just realized... I meant to build myself a tsunami evacuee kit when I moved here, but I never bothered getting around to it. LOL!

I am also reminded why I am a minimalist now.

I don't think the waves will hit here, but when you hear about it... it reminds you of the things you have forgotten to do.

If that were me, my old Big Wave nightmares would be recurring to me if I lived where you are.

For a few years, I would dream that a tsunami would come to Virgina beach and then everyone would drown when it came.

I stopped having them once I dreamed that a bunch of people including me built a big sand pile in front of the boardwalk and rode out the tsunami.

Did a 3 hour training and sparred it was awesome. My knee locked w my opponent its a lil bruise.

I never got tsunami nightmares.

Tornado nightmares... yeah because we had a few dust devils and some (really small) tornadoes that would form out of nowhere in Alberta.
 
I remember my brother would play jokes on me. Like when we were at home by ourselves and a storm rolled in, he would tell me a tornado is on the way and would make me sit in the bathtub by myself for hours while he watch Karate Kid movies.
 
I never realised there was a tsunami warning for Eastern Coast of Australia and other countries until I got home from work.

Wasn't there a huge tornado in Alberta in the 90s?
 
Just got home from working out for 2 hours in the gym and now gotta do chores! FUN FUN, NOT! The life of a working mother! :)
 
Just got back from church, at least this time the speaker didn't piss me off like the last two did.

I got back from church and like it has been for a while, don't know what went on except for the music. Makes me want to stop going to church.

I know what goes on, I just don't appreciate it when they bring in a politician wearing a minister's suit. The entire sermon then turns into a political speech. The last one just more or less cut down homosexuals and those who are single and wanting to adopt children. There is a reason why church and politics never mix. :nono:

Yeah - I can understand. My problem stems from not having even one iota of hearing, so I have to rely on reading lips. Not good! There are no deaf churches or services that I have found, and since I am the driver for my mother and MIL, I have to stay with this church regardless of my problems. The music team will make sure that I have a copy of the music so that I can sing along in the right key and go up when needed and down when needed. (pays that I can read music). The pastor will not make any attempt to have anything in writing or even to copy his notes so I can follow along. He does have them, since he needs to stay on track for himself, so it shouldn't be hard to make a photo-copy, the church has 3 copy machines that all work.

Ask that he give you a copy of his sermon notes before each sermon. Flat out tell him that you are missing his sermons if nothing is provided in print.

I played a 36 hole golf tournament yesterday......walking.....pretty sore myself
